“You didn’t tell me what happened with my brother.” I start with the main thing. Brent wouldn’t give me details and I want Colton to explain it anyway.

“What did he tell you?” he asks.

I explain how I was a bit caught off guard by the fact that he already knew when I asked about the black eye he gave him. He smirks at the mention of it.

“I figured I had nothing left to lose. I didn’t have you, and I went a little off the rails when he pissed me off. I’m sorry forwhat I said, but I think him and I getting into it was a long time coming. It’s good for him to lose it every once in a while.”

I sputter out a laugh because the last point is probably true. “Are you done being a dick to each other then now that you got it out of your systems?”

“Probably not, but he’s not a bad guy, I know that. And for you I’ll do anything, even if it’s being nice to your brother.”

“Thank you,” I say softly, taking his hand in mine since my cat still won’t leave his lap, even though that’s the spot I want to be in right now.

He tells me about his conversation with his mom and asks if I would come with during the offseason.

“One condition,” I tell him.

“Anything.”

“We stay at a hotel because I know you’re going to try to have sex with me there, and I would die if your parents heard us.” I shiver just thinking about that.

“Done,” he smiles and gently moves Ellie off his lap to pull me onto him. “Any other conditions before I officially ask you to be my girlfriend?”

I tap my chin to pretend like I’m thinking. “Unlimited orgasms.”

“Done.”

“Unlimited access to your glorious bathtub.”

“Done.”

“Unlimited love for me.”

He smiles, leaning into me, brushing his lips against mine, “Done.”

EPILOGUE

Two Years Later

It’s Spencer’s wedding day.

It took Jared a long enough time to propose, I swear Spence was losing her mind waiting for it to happen. When Jared told me his plan to do it during one of her shows, I helped him organize it after she sang their song, “Only Forever.” It was beautiful and the crowd went insane.

I had to dodge a bunch of hate from her ex after it happened. The asshole got booted from the Spartans and no team in the league wants anything to do with him. He pops up every once in a while to try and make Spencer’s life miserable, but I’m the one that gets all the messages. I’m also the one that presses “delete” on every single one of them.

No one thinks about him, and we all intend to keep it that way.

Now, a year later we’re here helping her get ready. Chandler got Evie dressed in her flower girl outfit she keeps twirling around in. She’s fallen a couple times after being so dizzy, but she just laughs and gets up again. Her brown hair is curled and turquoise eyes shine with her laughter.

When Audrey was changing, Spencer noticed her nipple piercings and that sparked a whole discussion because she wanted a distraction from her nerves.

“Do they hurt?” Spencer asks.

“Getting them did, but not anymore, they feel amazing now,” Audrey explains. “Would you ever get them?”

Spencer shakes her head. “No, I don’t think I could go through with it. I only have the one tattoo and I may do that again, but I’m not sure.”

She displays her “Only Forever” tattoo on her ribs proudly.
