“Brynn? Uh, yeah, I guess we are friends.”

“That’s so nice of her to bring you to her big brother’s game, I bet you’relovingthe view, huh?” her tone is like she’s talking to a child or something.

“Uh, yeah, but I’m here as a friend to a player.” I go to grab the drinks and get away from this confrontation. Especially before she pisses me off, and I say too much.

“Oh, who?” Her smug smile makes it known she doesn’t believe me.

I say the first name that comes to my mind, but only because I know I’ve been seen with him around here before, and if I said anyone else it might seem weird. “Vince.”

“Dumont?” She still doesn’t look like she believes me.

“Is there another Vince on the team?” I snap.

“How do you know him?” she questions, and I don’t even hide my eye roll now.

“Oh, we go way back,” I sass.

“Childhood friends or something? That’s so sweet of him.”

I have to physically bite my tongue, so I don’t blurt out something about his dick and what a good ride it is, but by some miracle I end up holding back.

“And who are you with?” I ask.

“My husband is Grant, he’s number three.” I notice the giant ring on her left hand now, not sure how I missed that before.

“Oh, he’s on the fourth line, right? That’s so great for him. No goals this season, though.” I pretend to feel bad. I also am taking a complete shot in the dark about the no goal thing. I just haven’t heard of Grant so figured I might be right.

Considering her reaction is narrowing her eyes at me and scanning my body with a curl of her overly painted lips I think I guessed correctly. “You’re clearly wasting time if you’re here because you think Vince or any of those guys will give you a chance, so enjoy the game, I’m sure I won’t see you back here.” She takes her drink and walks back to her friends.

It’s a true miracle I make it back to Audrey and Brynn with all the drinks intact and without screaming something I’ll regret on whoever that bitch is.

“Who’s Grant’s wife?” I ask Brynn quickly.

“Who? Oh, uh, her name is…Rose…Rosie? Something like that. Why? Did she talk to you?”

“Yeah, she thought I was a friend of yours and that’s why I’m here. Then said shit about how I’m wasting my time thinking any of the guys would be into me.”

Audrey coughs on her drink with her laughter. “Want me to go set that bitch straight, I fucking will.”

I shake my head. “No, but I hate that I couldn’t set her straight. The shit I wanted to say…”

“So, make a point after the game,” Brynn suggests, like it’s the easiest thing in the world.

“How would I do that? Fuck one of them in the tunnel in front of everyone?” I keep my voice low so no one else hears me.

“Ew no, because one of them might be my brother so no.” Brynn shakes her head, and I almost forgot she’s Brent’s sister because we have all been so unfiltered throughout the game so far. “You could like, I don’t know, hug them or something.”

“Hug them?” I raise my eyebrows. “That’s not proving anything. It’s fine, I don’t need to. I know the truth; I don’t need to prove anything.”

Brynn sinks back into her seat with a smirk. “Whatever you say.”

“You’re better than me, Chan, I would be screaming from the rooftops if I were in your position,” Audrey says.

I just chuckle, of course she would, but she also gets paid to be sexual online so sleeping with three guys at once is something to celebrate for her. It is for me too, but all my celebrating can be done in private. Preferably in bed with said three men. While they all worship my body.

Yeah, I don’t need to prove anything.
