He finally meets my eyes. I notice his irises aren’t just a dark brown like I thought before. He has some lighter specks in them as well. “What do you think I want?”
I can’t help the smirk that appears on my face as I lean in closer to him. His grip on me tightens as I swivel my hips once. My lips brush against his just barely. “Me.” I run my tongue along his bottom lip, just barely. When he tries to take my mouth with his own, I pull back, keeping my hands on his chest. “But you’re not going to get me.”
I push away and get off his lap, settling back on the couch next to Vince who pulls me into his side again, chuckling into my ear before placing a kiss on my temple.
Matt groans, “What did I do?” He rolls his head to the side to look at me.
I shrug.
“You didn’t listen to what I told you,” Vince speaks up. I narrow my eyes and look up at him.
“About what?” I question, suddenly worried about what I might have gotten myself into with this little arrangement and that Vince isn’t okay with it. Despite how he’s been acting this whole time. I know he doesn’t like Matt very much, and maybe this was too far for him.
“About either being in this with you or not.” Vince looks up at Matt. “And not fucking around if you were in.”
“What the fuck are you even talking about?” Matt snaps.
I look over to Brent who is sitting with his ankle crossed over his knee, the epitome of calm, cool, and collected. He meets my gaze but doesn’t give any hint as to what he’s thinking. Or if he knows what these two are talking about.
“The other night after our win against Toronto,” Vince continues.
My body stiffens, and I try not to let him feel it. That was the last time Matt texted me, during that game, and since then it’s been silence. I shouldn’t care. In fact Iexpectedhim to keep up with his normal life, and fuck around with whoever he wants, whenever he wants. Yet, having it confirmed makes me feel uneasy.
Clearly, I like the idea of casual, but I’m really shit at it.
Matt narrows his eyes, and I see him thinking about what Vince said. In a way he looks confused, and then I see the moment it clicks.
“I didn’t do anything with anyone,” he rolls his eyes.
Vince scoffs, “Bullshit.”
“Believe it or not, Dumont, Idon’tfuck everything that moves.”
“From what I’ve seen from you I find that hard to believe.”
“It doesn’t matter,” I say, stopping their banter that’s going nowhere.
“It does matter, baby, it’s about respecting you.” Vince smooths my hair away from my face.
I’m about to open my mouth to tell them to disrespect the fuck out of me when Brent speaks up. “I think it’s time we talk about this arrangement.”
Matt groans, throwing his head back, and I feel Vince pull me tighter against his side.
“Communication is key in our situation, and I think we need to do that,” Brent continues, nodding toward me. “What do you expect from us, beautiful? Don’t hold back.”
“Uh…”Fucking me and ending this awkwardness would be a good start.I can’t make those words come out, and partly because I know Brent is right, we do need to talk about this. Vince and I have had a conversation similar to this once. Brent and I kind of did, but Matt hasn’t been involved in any of it. And we haven’talltalked.
Sensing my awkwardness Brent speaks again, “You can say whatever it is, this is all about you.”
I cuddle up against Vince more, pulling my legs up in front of my chest. “I don’t think I would be okay with any of you sleeping with anyone else.” I can’t help it; I look over to Matt to see his reaction. There isn’t much of one. He watches me, his face remaining still.
To be honest, I don’t know the reaction I expected from him. Maybe that he would say he’s out and leave. Maybe try to argue about it and say how hypocritical I’m being, how stupid it is. Vince has already agreed to this, and Brent hasn’t seemed like he expects anything different. The last thing I expect Matt to say is…
“Okay.”
“Really?” I can’t help but question how easily he agreed.
“I’m not a liar, Bunny, I didn’t do anything with anyone from that bar. I haven’t fucked anyone since I’ve been with you.”
