Good, just waiting for the dogs. Is it raining there?

A common question I get due to London’s famous reputation when it comes to rain.

Lucy

Not at the moment, but it was earlier.

I look out the window to be sure my answer is as accurate as possible.

Mom

Have you left your apartment today?

Lucy

Yes! I went back to the coffee shop around the corner from my apartment again.

Mom

Oh good! Did you make any friends there?

Lucy

Well, I think the barista is starting to recognize me, does that count?

Mom

Lucy…

Lucy

Sorry, mom. I did have an idea when I was there earlier. I think I’m going to go when the weather is nice and sit outside with a book while I enjoy coffee in the evenings or maybe during my lunch.

Mom

Well, it’s a start to get you out of the house I suppose. When are you putting this plan into action?

Lucy

Tomorrow if the weather allows.

Mom

Does the coffee shop have indoor seating?

Lucy

Yes, but I think I would prefer to sit outside.

Mom
