We reached her building and she smiled before opening the door to her building, "Your car isn't over here, is it?"
One side of my mouth went up, giving myself away before I could even speak. Truthfully, I didn't know what I should say, so maybe it was best that she saw straight through me.
"Thank you, Ty," her lips thinned in a smaller smile, but it had the same effect on me as the one she gave me earlier. She entered the building with no response from me but I waited and watched through the glass until she was safe inside the elevator.
Damn.
I walked back to my car, suddenly crazy excited for next Tuesday. I was looking forward to my ballet lesson just to see if Miss Priss was back in her standard uptight form.
