“Your tits are going to get even bigger.” He laughs as I hit him.

He kisses me.

“I mean it, I'm sorry. I just…I don’t know…I couldn’t think straight. I needed time to breathe, to think.” He whispers.

“I get it, but in future don’t just leave me like that. It hurt a lot. I didn’t know if you were coming back. You’re not the only one who’s scared you know.” I point out.

“I know and I’m sorry.” He kisses me softly.

Gaige held me all night with his hand placed protectively on my stomach.

“I think you should move in with me.” Gaige says drinking his coffee.

It’s the next morning and I’ve decided to keep the bakery closed for another day so I have time to cook and prep for the next day.

“What?” I ask.

“I think you should move in with me.” He says seriously.

“But we barely know each other.” I point out,

“Esme, we’ve known each other a few months now. We slept every night together there last, what, ten days. Oh and we’re having a baby.” He states in matter of fact voice.

“Wow, you’re such a romantic.” I mock.

“Look, I love you. For me this was going to happen at some point anyway. You must have thought about it? I want you in my bed every night, I want to make love to you whenever we get the chance, I want to wake up to you every morning.” He says cupping my face.

“That romantic enough for you?” He smirks.

I hit his chest.

“Jerk.”

“I will think about it, okay. I’ve only just got this place sorted.” I point out.

“You can rent it or keep it. It’s up to you.” He states.

I nod.

“Um, when are we telling people? I was thinking of telling the girls today because of work. I’m going to need them to help out further down the line and of course with things now like lifting the ten kilo flour bags and things like that.” I ask.

“Tell them. The good thing about this town is that if you tell one person the rest of the town will know by lunch time. You better call your friend too; I'm sure she will want to know.”

“Oh shit, I forgot about Sally. I better call her now.” I state, picking up my phone.

“Isn’t it the middle of the night there now?” Gaige asks.

“Yes but you don’t get it. If she found out that others knew before her there would be hell to pay. Like Carrie but without the blood.” I state.

“Hello, you better be dying right now.” She grumbles.

Gaige laughs.

“You’re on speaker Sally. Gaige is here.” I inform her.

“Hey Gaige.” She yawns.
