“I was your explosion of colour.” I state.

“What?” Gaige asks confused.

“It’s something Bob mentioned a while back.” I shrug.

Gaige smiles and takes my mouth, kissing me softly.

“Suppose we better finish cleaning up this flour, then we better clean ourselves.” I state smiling.

“I vote we go straight to the shower now.” Gaige whispers across my lips.

“Lead the way.” I giggle.

After our very long, very hot, incredible shower Gaige helps me finish cleaning the kitchen.

He stands and talks to me while I decorate some cupcakes and biscuits.

“You’re incredible.” He says watching me pipe.

I smile and bite my lip.

“There are far more talented people out there than me.” I state.

“I disagree.” He comments.

My phone starts ringing with a video call.

“Brace yourself.” I warn. I put down the piping bag and answer it.

“Hiya Sally.” I smile.

“Well what the hell happened? You went on the date with the hot lumber jack and I haven't heard from you since. I nearly called the Mountie’s to start a search party! I mean, what is he, bloody Christian Grey? He didn’t make you sign anything did he?!” She questions.

I laugh and shake my head. Gaige laughs and takes the phone from me.

“Hi Sally, I'm Gaige. It’s good to see you again, well, sort of.” He smiles.

“Holy shit! Don’t move, let me just screenshot you a sec.” She states.

“No you bloody don’t!” I yell.

“Oh alright, selfish cow now sharing. Sorry Gaige, where are my manners? It’s a pleasure to speak to you again, the guy that’s had my friend tied up in knots. Honestly, she has not shut up about you.” Sally sighs.

“Okay that’s enough. Calm your hormones.” I state, taking the phone from Gaige.

“Okay you can see I’m alive and not kidnapped. I’m totally fine. Now you can go and I will call you later.” I say gritting my teeth while smiling at her.

“Oh I can see that you’re more than okay. The fact you’re freshly showered shows me you’re one happy and thoroughly fucked friend.” She laughs as I cut the call.

Gaige laughs.

“She really does seem nice.”

“She's the best. She just has less of a filter than I do.” I point out.

Once I finish all of the prep Gaige suggests going for a bite and a drink at The Sunken Ship.

Before we walk in we pause.
