“Bob you’re a magician! This place looks amazing. I love it so much.” I clap happily.
“There’s a baby gate at the top of the stairs so the children don’t run off. Each step up is not only a different colour but they different cake names painted on them. I also made sure there was a baby changing facility.” He says and points to the bathroom.
I walk up to him and wrap my arms around him and hug him tight. He awkwardly pats my back.
“Thank you so much Bob. It really is amazing.” I sniff.
“Why is she crying?” Bob asks Gaige.
“Pregnancy hormones.” Gaige smiles.
“Oh jeez.” Bob groans.
I laugh and wipe my eyes.
“Don’t do emotional women Bob?” I ask laughing.
“No, I can’t handle women crying, I don’t know what to do with myself.” He mumbles, shoving his hands in his pockets.
I laugh.
“Well Bob, I shall try to keep my emotions in check when I’m around you.”
Bob grunts and Gaige pulls me into his arms and kisses me.
“You ready to open tomorrow?” He asks.
“Oh yeah, more than ready.” I smile excitedly.
The next morning I’m in full panic mode making sure that everything is ready to go.
“Will you stop worrying? Everything will be fine.” Amy tries to calm me down.
“You’re right, you’re right.” I sigh.
“Ooo there’s a queue forming outside!” Dawn says excitedly.
“God my stomach is full of nerves! I don’t know if I’m going to throw up or shit myself.” I groan.
“Nice.” Amy mutters.
“Where’s Gaige?” Dawn asks.
“He ran to try and find me some non-alcoholic Champagne to celebrate.” I smile.
“God, I remember those days. I don’t know if I could go without wine now.” Dawn sighs.
“Are you telling us that you’re an alcoholic?” I laugh.
“No, but, well, you’ll get it. When little one is a bit older that glass of wine at the end of the day is like a taste of heaven.” She sighs, smiling.
“Right come on. Let’s open up!” I sing excitedly.
“Three, two, one.” I countdown and open the door.
“Welcome everyone. For those of you who want to sit with some coffee, tea, and cake, please follow the signs and head upstairs.” I greet.
They file in one by one and most of them go straight upstairs. I stick my thumbs up to Amy and head upstairs to help Dawn.
