Maya’s eyes softened. “I think you’ve managed it.”
My chest tightened as I thought about my daughter. The love I had for her was too big to contemplate. It was hard to describe how it made me feel. Fulfilled, proud, lucky, scared were only the edges of the emotions she evoked in me.
“She’s my biggest achievement.”
Maya’s head rested on the back of the sofa, her eyes latched on mine, and instantly the atmosphere changed. What had been soft and easy became intense and electrified. The rhythm of my breathing changed; it sped up but was shallower with each inhalation. Never had I ever wanted a woman as much as I wanted Maya. Never had I ever felt so desperate to kiss someone yet been so scared to do it at the same time.
We’d kissed before, but it felt like the next one between us would be life-defining. It would determine how our lives might change. If it wasn’t perfect, she might decide to disappear, and already I knew that if she did, it would be an opportunity lost for something incredible.
Unable to hold back any longer, I leaned forward and cupped Maya’s face. My thumb rubbed along her bottom lip, pouty and pink and desperate to be kissed.
“You’re so beautiful,” I whispered. “The most beautiful woman I’ve ever met.”
“I don’t know about that.”
“Yeah, you are.” I studied her, my eyes taking in every inch of her clear complexion, losing myself in the depths of the green jewels staring back at me. “I don’t want to sound cheesy, but I really need kiss you.”
“You don’t need to ask.”
In one swift, smooth move, I planted my lips on Maya’s and did what I’d been desperate to do all night.
It started off slow and gentle as my tongue pushed against the seam of her pillowy soft lips. When Maya opened up to allow me in I increased the pressure, and her arms came around my neck and pulled me closer. With her fingertips brushing the nape of my neck, I wrapped my arm around her waist, pushing my hand into the small of her back. She tasted like the sweetest honey, and it took my breath away. My heart and lungs battled with each other as I struggled to stay calm. Not to rush the ending of the best kiss that I’d ever had.
Like magnets, we pushed closer to each other. The kiss became more forceful. Maya’s hand gripped my shirt, bunching it between her fingertips, while her other one cradled the back of my head, keeping me in place as our tongues danced together.
“Will,” she whispered, as she threw the blanket to one side and moved to straddle me.
As she rode my rock hard dick, my brain turned to mush, and every single thought left my head. My hand went to cup her breast, my thumb rubbing over her dress against her tight nipple, so tight that I could feel it through the fabric. My heart was beating hard and fast, almost out of my chest, like any minute it would burst through my shirt.
“I think I’m going crazy, how much I want you,” I told her, lacing my fingers in her hair. “I’ve thought about you every minute of every day since we met.
“Same,” she gasped out as I thrust my hips upwards. “But we need to stop.”
My heartbeat thudded to a stop. “Why?”
She moaned seductively and it went straight to my dick, so I deepened the kiss. I didn’t want it to stop, I wanted it to go on and on. Never stop.
“Maddy,” she whispered against my lips. “We can’t.”
I dropped my forehead to hers, knowing she was right. I’d been the one to suggest she stay over in the spare bedroom, and it would be wrong to change my mind. It wouldn’t be fair on Maddy and the embarrassment it would cause her. Plus, I wanted to make Maya scream my name, and that wasn’t possible with my daughter across the landing.
Groaning, I sighed. “You’re right. I know you’re right but it’s hard.”
Maya giggled and pushed her hips forward, her core grazing my hard on, making it even more difficult to let her go. She took the initiative and moved off me and back to her spot on the sofa.
“Maybe we should call it a night,” she said, tucking the blanket around her legs, like she needed a barrier.
She was right, we did need to call it a night, and she needed that barrier, otherwise those tights of hers might have been ripped off. She might well have been on her back in seconds.
“You’re right. We should.” I adjusted myself, trying to loosen the denim around my dick. “I’ll show you to your room.”
“No need.” She rolled her eyes and grinned. “I’m not sure I trust us together in a room with a bed in it.”
“You have a point.” I stood up and held a hand out for her. She took it and let me pull her to her feet. “Remember, top of the stairs, door on the right hand side of the landing. Not the one that’s got the nameplate of Maddy on it.”
“Imagine me wandering in while she’s whispering sweet nothings to her boyfriend on the phone.” No, I didn’t want to imagine it, so as Maya kissed my cheek, I pushed everything to the back of mind and wondered how quickly I could book us a night away.
