I slid all the way in, my cock buried deep inside her, and I waited for her to take in a deep breath. I pulled out and slid back in at a fucking brutally slow pace. Fucking hell.
Instead of taking her quickly like we’d done so many other times, I suddenly didn’t want to. When I said I wanted to feel every inch of her, I meant I wanted to memorize every inch, every touch, every pulse.
I don’t know why, but every moment with her seemed surreal and short. Like the world would find a way to destroy the one good thing in my otherwise dark life.
Leaning into her, I kissed her and then pulled her into me, flipping us, and sitting my ass on the edge of the bed.
Her legs wrapped around my waist as she rocked against my cock. We moved together, my shaft hitting her deep as I pulled her hips in just the right rhythm. Her lips explored the skin of my shoulder as I felt her pussy clamp down around me and her breathing shudder. I didn’t know what the fuck we were doing. But in the next second, I couldn’t stop myself from coming harder than I’d ever come before.

“I can play nice,”I said across the table. And I was pretty sure I could. Probably. But then again, maybe I wasn’t too worried about me because of the way Roman and Parks could glare the paint right off a wall. We were finally finding a few pieces to my mysteries. I was a regular Nancy Drew, or her evil twin anyway.
It had been several days since my uncle had last sat in a conference room of Rossi Holdings.I didn’t like the way he’d tainted the energy there, so this would work to keep his icky energy out of my space.
My uncle gave me what I had to assume was a smile as he reached for a glass of wine. A restaurant was a nice touch to making me think this whole thing was water under the bridge. Little did he know, I had my purse poison and a gun and a temper. Then there was Parks.
“Of course you can, dear.” He looked next to me where Parks sat. “I’m glad you decided to keep this as a family matter. Although I’d like to find out whose ring that is.”
I just smiled and grabbed for my own drink. Parks hadn’t been happy when I’d agreed to have a meeting with my uncle after hearing what Roman had said. Which was a lot more of nothing if you asked me. No one had.
I needed information though. The last few days had become a steady routine of Roman finding ways to avoid me. Or rather, that’s how I felt, and it pissed me off. Roman was gone early every morning, before I’d even had a chance to ask any more questions, and he came back after I’d gotten tired of waiting up. His texts had been all macho ‘let’s talk later’ crap, and I was done waiting for my life to be told to me.
I was certain Roman was trying to protect me or maybe get more information, but I needed to do something.
“I’d like to know, Uncle, how you managed to get out of jail? Usually when you murder someone, especially someone in this family, you don’t find a way out.” I took a sip of my drink. “Frankly, I’m surprised you’re still alive. Parks? Did you miss him?”
Parks grunted, but I didn’t get much else from it. Doing the math, I knew Parks would have been far too young to have had the opportunity. Still, he knew of my uncle and that was more than I did. I was chasing this lead anyway.
My uncle’s fingers were long and bony as he played with the stem of his glass. I’d watched Daddy for years when he didn’t think I was. He had a similar tell, and I’d bet Uncle Vinny wasn’t enjoying this inquisition.
I sighed. He had years of practice and wasn’t giving me much though.
“My dear, I thought you would have figured out this game already. It’s not about what you know, but who.” His gaze shifted back to Parks. “I’m certain you wouldn’t have the ability to be where you are without that. Am I right?”
“Oh, Uncle Vinny. I’m over here.”
His lips thinned into a disapproving line, but he looked at me.
“Of course, my dear.”
“So, Uncle Vinny, dear.” I added that for emphasis and matched his condescending tone. If he called me dear one more time, I’d poison him without hesitation. “Let’s play a game where you give me something I want and maybe I give you something you want? You want Rossi Holdings? I mean, that’s a great idea, but no. But maybe you need a job, since most ex-cons can’t exactly get a good job.”
I looked at him and smiled.
“That suit is so, fifteen years ago. Isn’t that when you last wore it?” I added just to rub a bit of salt into wounds I was still trying to find.
The darkness that shadowed over his features was all I needed to know. “Alright, Uncle Vinny. I’ll tell you who I will marry when you tell me why you have been stealing my product and thinking you can hand it over to someone else.”
He didn’t answer, and neither did I.Maybe we were in a silent game. One more thing my father had trained me for, even if I was terrible at shutting up.
“My sweet Emilee, let’s not work against each other. I bet I can help you. I have plenty of connections from my days in jail. I’m sure I can be of use to you. and, in turn, your company and your name will give me standing in the community.”
There was no reason to look at Parks. I was certain he was hearing the hidden meanings. Uncle Vinny couldn’t be taken seriously without the backing of my family. The world wasn’t very big when it came to my family and its reach. When it came to all the families. I knew we were a mafia. And the world might have been changing, but things that hadn’t changed were that money and power were synonymous. Gangs challenged the old way of doing things, as did a little girl like me. I knew some of the reasons people didn’t like me.
“I see. So you need me, but I don’t need you?”
