“Let me go put my bathing suit on.”
“Or not.” He murmurs against my lips through another kiss.
“I thought you were going to keep your hands off me.” I giggle against his mouth.
“Doesn’t mean I don’t want to look.” He chuckles, pulling back to grin at me.
“You are bad, Alexander Walker.”
“News flash, Princess, this is not new information.” He waggles his brows, then smacks me lightly on the ass. “Go. Put your suit on. Covered or naked, you still make me hard as a rock.” To prove his point, he shoves his waist into mine.
“You’re insatiable.” I cry out in mock disbelief.
“Only for you, baby. Only for you.” He plants a final kiss against my lips before pulling away. “I’m going naked. You’ve been warned.” He shoves his shorts down his legs, steps out of them, and walks, in all his full-moon glory, back out to the hot tub.
I quickly change into the bikini I brought, frowning when I look at my reflection. The bruise on my side is an ugly blue and purple, the one on my cheek a dark red. It’s a stark reminder that we’re hiding out in paradise now, but sooner or later, I’m going to have to go back and face reality. I shake off my thoughts. Not happening today. Today I want to enjoy the time I have with Alexander.
I stride back through the kitchen, stopping when I notice the wine fridge tucked into the lower cabinet of the island. I pull out a bottle, snatch two glasses off a nearby rack, and head outside.
“I brought refreshments.” I sing-song, waving the bottle in front of me.
“Princess, it’s nine-thirty in the morning and you’re already trying to get me drunk?” He chuckles, rising from the tub as I approach, his body a dripping, glistening specimen of perfection. He’s hard, again, and I suck my lower lip between my teeth, distracting from the groan I want to send out to the universe.
“It’s perfectly acceptable to have mimosas on Sunday for brunch.” I assure him, setting the bottle and glasses down beside the hot tub, before stepping in beside him.
“Except you forgot the orange juice and that’s a five-hundred-dollar bottle of Dom.” He drawls, yanking me flush, his wet lips nipping mine.
“Semantics.” I giggle, pushing away from him before things progress. “Open it?” I tilt my head to the champagne.
“At your service, Princess.” He gives a playful bow, then pops the cork, both of us letting out a little yelp of joy at the sound. He pours us both a glass, then moves to sit beside me as he hands me one.
I take a sip, the bubbles tickling my nose as I do, humming at the yumminess. “So good.”
“I agree.” He takes a gulp, a wide smile breaking across his face as he shakes his head.
“What?” I wonder out loud.
“This is so not how I pictured my weekend when you forced me out of my own classroom on Friday.” He chuffs. “Not that I’m complaining.” He leans over and brushes a kiss against my battered cheek.
“Uh, yeah, me either.” I wanted to get him to admit that he had feelings for me, but this was entirely more than I could have hoped for.
“I have a question for you.” He skims his fingers over the water, a nervous tilt to his voice.
“Okay…”
“Did you fuck Davenport?” He narrows his gaze on me, crinkles forming on the outside edges of his eyes.
I choke on the sip of champagne currently half way down my throat, anger slashing through me. “What?” I splutter when I’m done coughing.
“He seemed pretty damn friendly with you on Tuesday.” His eyes still dark with jealousy.
“Not that it’s any of your business, but no.” I take a gulp from my flute, fire burning in my belly. “Unlike you, I don’t sleep with every person I go out with.”
“So, you admit that you went out with him?” He continues to pepper questions at me.
“We met for drinks. With my cousin. And her friend Lily, who’s also in your class by the way. Are you going to ask if I fucked her too?” I seethe, my nostrils flaring.
“That would at least be far better to imagine.” One side of his mouth crooks up, his eyes softening. “I’m sorry. I had to know. It’s been bugging the shit out of me.” He rakes his wet fingers through his hair, droplets of water clinging to the dark ends. “He bugs the shit out of me.”
