Page 54 of Sinful Secrets

2. Being a mole, sneaking around, and lying to everyone.

3. Possible jail time for Spencer and his friends.

4. I will probably lose my new job as an ice girl.

Why am I even contemplating this?

I shouldn’t need a list to make this decision. I know in my heart what I’m going to do. I guess I just needed to see the options on paper in order to choose the morally gray option.

I crumple up the paper and throw it in the trash can with all the other ones before grabbing my phone and sending a text to Spencer.

I love the flowers and chocolates. Thank you so much. I can’t wait for you to come back.

Walking over to my desk, I hide the cop’s business card under the vase.

My phone beeps with a message. A smile forms on my face when I see it’s from Spencer.

What are you doing right now?

What do you think I’m doing?

Fucking your perfect little cunt and moaning my name.

“Oh, fuck.”

My core throbs with need as moisture gathers in my panties.

I sigh and send a not so flirtatious reply.

I wish. I’ve had a lot on my mind. I’m thinking about going for a walk to clear my head.

His reply is almost instant.

Do you want to talk?

I wish I could, but I’m not going to start acting like a needy girlfriend.

Aren’t you busy? I don’t want to interrupt. I just wanted to thank you for the surprise.

He doesn’t text back, so I grab my phone, wallet, and keys to head downstairs to get some fresh air, but as soon as I open the suite door, I am face to face with the one and only Spencer Reed.

“Spencer? What are you doing here?”

He pulls me into a hug and presses his lips to mine. I get lost in the kiss, forgetting about my inner turmoil and the reason for needing to clear my head.

His hands wander down my back before gripping my ass and lifting me up.

My legs wrap around his sculpted waist. Breathing, I pull back, breaking the kiss.

“You’re really here. How are you here already? I didn’t think you were coming home until tomorrow.”

“I couldn’t stand being away from you any longer. I came to surprise you with an invitation to have a late lunch with me. Are you hungry?”

My stomach growls. “I’m starving. I haven’t eaten all day. Although, I did snack all night while beading a necklace and a bracelet.”

“Do you want to talk about what’s bothering you?”

“Food first.”
