“That’s the same question I’ve been asking myself about you.”
He pressed his forehead against mine.
“I knew you were a great dancer; I knew the awards you’d won. I even watched some videos from when you were younger, more fragile, more innocent, but what I just witnessed, baby… that’s pure strength.” His eyes were serious as he continued, “Even if you won’t have a dancing career, no one can destroy that strength. I didn’t see a girl dancing in the rain earlier, I saw a woman releasing some of that incredible strength inside of her. I could watch you for hours, Katherine.”
Tears formed again, but I blinked them away quickly as I caressed his cheeks.
“You will see me. You’ve helped me remember that dancing isn’t just a profession, but an important part of me thatI’ve kept hidden behind walls for far too long. From now on, I will only offer it to you.”
He pushed away the wet strands of hair around my face.
“As much as it excites me to have that spark just for me, I will support you unconditionally if you want to chase your dream again. I can’t be selfish with you, you’re too good for the world not to see.”
I smiled and wiped the water from his lips. My upper body and arms were now free of mud, as the rain had washed it away.
“Are you sure you want to share me?”
My mischievous grin elicited one from him too.
“I’ll make sure to strip you of your stage outfit after every dance and remind you that…” he bit my lower lip, “you’re only mine.”
I let my head fall back and laughed.
God, he would be the end of me.
Love was exploding in my chest now, and I was not able to ignore it and pretend it didn’t exist anymore.
Harris Stone was the most amazing and destructive man I could have ever met.

Half an hour later we were both back in the car. Completely naked.
We had managed to get the mud off by standing in the rain, but the wet clothes felt most unbearable.
I still didn’t feel the cold, just the euphoria of the moment and that incredible muscle pain.
Harris had switched off the lights again because he thought I wouldn’t stand a chance if he saw me.
I stretched across my seat and smiled as he held his hand out to me.
“Come here,” he called, grabbing my hand and pulling my body back into the position we were in earlier.
“Are you sure?”
Not that I was complaining, but I didn’t want him to suffer again. Or maybe he would finally give in, and since I didn’t care about self-control, I straddled his lap before he could answer.
I was shocked when I felt a fabric over his legs. I felt around, apparently a t-shirt he had put over himself, like a fragile barrier between his member and my crotch.
I felt his smile on my lips.
“I’m strong, baby, but not that strong.”
I giggled and stretched across his chest as he pushed the seat back, then wrapped my arms around his neck. My forehead was just above his, so I leaned down and pressed it against his. I was breathing heavily and my lips were trembling, even though I couldn’t feel the cold.
He wrapped his arms around me and gently stroked my back and wet hair. His breath clung to my neck, passing through me and warming my whole being.
The constant growl of the engine was barely audible in the noise of the storm outside. I could only feel the strong vibrations it emitted.
