She smiled. “It’s not too bad, anyway. I used to throw the pills in the trash half the time, so hopefully I' didn’t get too addicted.”
Jax nodded, looking at Mia thoughtfully for a while. “You really are brave, you know that?”
Mia nodded. “Yeah. I guess I am.”
Jax looked back down at the contract. “How about discipline? What are you comfortable with?"
Mia chewed on her lower lip thoughtfully, feeling a thrill race through her veins. "Spankings, for sure," she said, her voice a mix of confidence and vulnerability. "I really liked being spanked. Even though I cried."
“Crying isn’t always a bad thing.”
“Yeah, it was kind of a good cry. A cleansing cry.”
"Of course," Jax agreed, his tone gentle and understanding. "Well, we’ll start slow with the spankings, just using my hand, and not going too hard. We can build it up as you get more comfortable, if you’d like to try more intense stuff, like rods and paddles."
“I think I would like to try that,” replied Mia. “Very much. Also corner time, as long as you stay in the same room with me. And stuff like writing lines. Oh, and being forced to go out for a run together. I was locked inside for such a long time, it would be hard at first but good. I used to love running as a kid.”
As they continued discussing their boundaries and desires, Mia felt a sense of excitement and anticipation building in her chest. It was exhilarating to be so open with someone, to trust him with her deepest fantasies and fears. She reveled in the freedom of it all, knowing that she was taking control of her ownpleasure and well-being. Finally, they were done discussing the details.
"Alright," Jax said with a warm smile, extending the pen toward her. "Time to make it official. Sign here, babygirl."
Mia took the pen, her hand trembling slightly as she signed her name, sealing their commitment to each other and their shared journey. As she handed the pen back to Jax, he signed his name next to hers, their signatures intertwining like the threads of their newfound connection.
"Here's to us, Mia," Jax whispered, leaning in to capture her lips in a tender kiss. The taste of his sugar-sweet lips sent shivers down her spine, her heart swelling with love and gratitude for this man who had shown her what true connection could feel like.
"Here's to us, Jax," she echoed softly, her eyes shining with joy. "So . . . are we getting started right away?”
"Uh-uh, babygirl," Jax teased, wagging a finger playfully at her. "Not yet."
"What do you mean?" Mia pouted, feeling her cheeks flush with frustration and curiosity. She hadn't expected him to hold back after they'd just signed the contract.
"Patience," Jax said with a grin, his hazel eyes twinkling with mischief. "We're going on a trip first.”
“Another one?”
“It’s best we keep moving.”
Mia frowned. “Oh. I liked it here.”
“What if I told you I just decided to take you to the beach?"
"The beach?" Mia raised an eyebrow, caught off guard by his surprising announcement.
“Yep. It’s time to test out your theory.”
“What theory?”
“We need to see if the sand really does get stuckeverywhere.”
Mia giggled and Jax pulled her closer, wrapping an arm around her waist, pressing his lips against hers in a searing kiss that left her breathless. "Trust me, Mia, it'll be worth the wait."
Chapter twelve
Jax
An expanse of shimmeringwater stretched out before them, framed by the brilliant greens of the surrounding trees. Jax glanced at Mia as she took in the scene, her face awash with wonder and excitement. She turned to him, her green eyes wide.
"Jax, this lake is beautiful," she breathed, stepping onto the golden sand. She reached down, touched the surface with her hands, and then her fingers dug into the warm grains, a smile tugging at her lips. "It feels like magic.”
