Kain closed the distance between us. His large, callused hands gripped the side of my neck and softly glided to my cheeks. He jerked my head slightly up, so I would be his full focus. He didn’t need to worry about that because my senses were going haywire. There wasn’t a chance in, well, in Hell, that I would glance away from his perfection.

“You’re everything I could have hoped for in a mate. In a Queen.” His smoldering lips consumed mine, stealing my breath. “There’s no need to ever give me a way out. I might struggle with my demon and his placement in the mate group, but never for a second have I questioned you. Us. Understood?”

Nodding, I bit my lower lip, my cheeks heating. The action made him growl, so I exaggerated the movement. His growl rumbled through his chest and tickled my nipples. The tip of his thumb pulled at my chin to release my bottom lip.

“Those plump lips are mine to bite.” If we had more time, I would have melted at his feet by now, but I didn’t want to get caught or drain Trigger.

As if reading my mind, he smirked at me. Those piercing eyes seemed to see right through me, so I wasn’t surprised when he pulled away after kissing the fuck out of me. His teeth slowly pulled on my bottom lip as he did.

“Later, my poisonous Queen. You’ve had a long day.” He lifted me into his arms and placed me back in front of my Alaric with a smack of my ass.

The smirk on his face fell so quickly, I stumbled backward. He lifted his head to the side as if hearing something. My gut sunk to the floor, splashing all over my toes. At least that was how it felt.

We need to get out of here, now, he demanded. He grabbed my hand and ran to the door dragging me. But he paused at the door.Shit, they’re in the hallway.

That meant we couldn’t run for it without being seen. Shit was right. I sucked in a sharp breath.

How many of us have teleporting potions?I asked my breath coming in quick, giving me a headache.

They don’t work in here, remember? Which is why we didn’t use them. Only the Headmaster has that ability,Bones grunted out, his eyes darted around.

The Headmaster would have no option, but to punish us if we were caught. Especially me since I had the access to the office. The magic controlling him wouldn’t let us get away with this.

What the fuck were we going to do?

CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

My stomach turned and the adrenaline sparked my magic, lifting my hair off my shoulders. My claws lengthened as my fangs dropped over my bottom lip. I didn’t like hurting people, but I would, to keep my mates from getting into trouble. If we didn’t end up in the dungeon, we’d get detention where we’d have to live through our deepest fears in this office as Mrs. Bee watched us break. Nope, I didn’t want either option.

The desk,Dex whispered. My eyes darted to him in mid thought.

We can’t fit under his desk?—

Dex shook his head.No, Mrs. Bee’s. It’s in the corner. We can hide in the shadows.

It’s our only option. Let’s do it,I said. My tone was winded as if I had been running.

Kain put one hand up and one hand on the doorknob as he listened to his shadow beast. I held my breath, and I could feel Bones and Alaric do the same, their backs had gone still against me. Dex grabbed my hand, and Bones grabbed my hip, probably ready to throw me over his shoulder.

Move. Now. Be silent, they’re almost here,Kain whisper shouted even through the bond and opened the door just enough for us to slip out.

Our feet completely silent as Kain’s shadows covered our steps. With their help it felt like we were gliding. Within seconds we were all practically lying on the floor covered by shadows.

“Lucifer,” the screech of Bee’s voice and the name she called had me stiffening. The other did as well. “I’m so tired of being this slob of a woman. Give me back my youth, and I’ll do anything you want.”

“I’m tired of your constant nagging. You’re here because you disrespected me. The king. Deal with your punishment.” I couldn’t breathe at all. My lungs stopped working. Lucifer was here. He was a few feet away from me.

“Come on. You said my pussy was amazing. Can’t we just go back to that? I won’t touch anyone else.” Her pleading voice was too high pitched to take seriously, but they needed to take this conversation into the office, so we could use our teleporting potions. They would be able to sense the magic this close.

Kain was beneath me, Bones heavy ass was on top of us both while the other two were pressed up against either side of us packed in like sardines. Our hearts beat as one which, if I’d taken the time to think about it, it would have sounded kind of weird, but the thumping calmed me. Their heat soothed me. It pushed away the images of Lucifer’s trapped Succubus in the sex room where people were being forced to do whatever higher demons told them to do. I would be the one locked in the cage or chained to a wall. Those thoughts were far away surrounded by my men.

Lucifer is here,Kain said to Trigger. He could feel our worry through the bond.

Shit! Are you guys, okay? I can’t do anything else. I’m already strained as it is. Who knew making five people look like they are in a classroom was so difficult.Trigger soundedexhausted. He had been doing high levels of magic for almost an hour straight. Who knew if he was making the illusions talk when called on.

We haven’t been caught. If things change, I’ll let you know.Then, I focused back on the conversation Lucifer was having.

“Fine, you can have your youth back for a couple months for good behavior.” There was a flash of light, and he whispered something in the demon language that I couldn’t hear. “Now get on your fucking knees and show me what that youthful mouth of yours is good for.”
