Eray bowed in front of her, offering her hand. She looked at him and said, “Ahn-noo-beez.”
How did the small female know what we are? She surely was not from this world.
She stood with the help of Eray. I walked to her as quickly as possible. I saved her and she was mine, whatever she was.
I pushed Eray to the side, my strong set of shoulders crashing against his. “Out of my way. She’s mine. I claim her.”
“You claim nothing. Without us, the pirates would have killed you. She belongs to all of us.”
Ashok only nodded. He couldn’t speak but was fully aware of everything. I knew he would side with Eray. Fuck.
As I saw her closer, I forgot the discussion I just had with my brothers and lifted one hand in a dismissive gesture. She was so beautiful, not the way an Anubis female was. More like a delicate Goddess that stepped down from the temple. Her long, dark hair waved and turned into a curtain of night. She had issues with the sun because she kept wiping her forehead and pushing away the sweat. Our skin is thick and equipped for the sun. We don’t mind it.
She kept talking. Her voice sounded like music, not like a meowing like the Bastet would talk. Hers was more like a sing-song bird chirp.
Her face reached to Eray’s chest. He puffed himself when I pushed him to the side.
She stared at us. I expected her to be scared.
“Edoo?” she asked.
“How does she know Edoo?” Eray glanced at me as if I would know what was going on between our brother and the small, pink-colored female with long hair that looked like silk.
“Ramy, she knows Edoo,” Eray turned his head toward our alpha and shrugged.
Ramy stepped forward and looked her up and down. He pointed to himself.
“Ramy.”
The small female swiped the sweat off her forehead. She looked as if she was ready to faint. I took my water skin and offered it to her. She took it, opened the top, and drank greedy.
I could not take my eyes off her throat, and her mouth, and the way her soft chest moved up and down. Anubis females don’t cover their chest, but they are muscular and strong, the same as us men.
She gave me back the skin and touched her chest. “Pandora Sky,” making sure she pronounced it slowly.
She pointed toward Ramy and said, “Ramy…” She uttered something I couldn’t understand then ended with, “Edoo?”
“I think she asked us if we know Edoo?” said Eray. He moved closer to Pandora and sniffed the air around her.
“Eray.” He pointed to himself and then his twin. “Ashok.”
I had to touch her soft chest. I went closer and put my hand on them. Soft.
“Hey!” She slapped my hand with all the force she could.
“I don’t think that’s okay in her world,” Eray said.
I took her hand, even though she pulled away, and placed it on my chest.
“Hassym, and you can touch me. I don’t mind.”
“Hassym, let her be. Edoo has claim.”
She shoved me away and started to say something, then called Edoo’s name.
“Grab her and let’s go,” ordered Ramy.
“We can’t just take her,” Eray said.
