I glance around the table before I stand and take off running. I hear the guys say something behind me, but I don’t stop. I can’t do this. Why am I doing this?

I shove through the front door after punching in the code I heard Hunter talking about and out into the night. Glancing around, I don’t know where to go. That’s when I heard the door slam shut.

“Lana?” I hear Hunter call for me, and my heart hammers against my ribs. So I run. I take off toward the trees hoping like hell I can hide from him for a while until I can figure this out.

“Oh, little rebel, I don’t think you know what you’re doing to me right now,” I hear his voice so loud. “I love a good game of hide and seek.” My breaths are shaky as I move slowly, hiding behind the largest tree I can find. Then I hear a noise. Is that chain rattling?

He has chains. He’s going to kill me. My hands shake as I hear the rattling, getting closer and closer. I close my eyes and hope he doesn’t find me. But then I feel it before I even see or hear it. A chain is wrapped around my neck from behind me, and a scream rips from my throat before being cut off by Hunter yanking on the chain. I choke and reach up, trying to pull it away, but it does no good.

“I think I won this round, little rebel. But do try again. I fucking love it,” Hunter whispers in my ear. A shiver runs down my spine as he wraps his arm around my waist and lifts me off the ground. There’s no use in fighting him. I’m not going to win.

Hunter carries me up the steps and then sets me on my feet before nodding toward the floor.

“You want to run through the trees like an animal, then I’ll treat you like my little pet,” he says, nodding once more. I shake my head. I’m not going to do it. Hunter smirks. It’s a dark, sinister smirk that has my stomach in knots. He doesn’t need to say anything more as I slowly drop to my knees in front of him.

His hand comes down to my hair, and he runs his fingers through it.

“That’s such a good girl, little rebel. Such a good fucking girl.” Another shiver rolls through me. This should be embarrassing, and a part of me is embarrassed, but the other part? The part ofme I can’t control? That part is turned on by his words. I look up at him, and he narrows his eyes.

“You like that, don’t you? You want to be my little pet?” What the hell is wrong with me? Why do I want to nod my fucking head? Jesus, Ray must have really done a number on me. Hunter laughs as he pulls on the chain. At first, I don’t know what the hell he wants, but then he nods to the floor, and I get it. He wants me to crawl.

“We weren’t finished with dinner,” he tells me, tugging on the chain once more. Why do I do it? I don’t know, but I start crawling on my hands and knees.

I crawl through the front doors and into the main room. All eyes are on me, and I drop mine to the floor, but Hunter doesn’t like that. He stops walking and squats in front of me, lifting my face with his fingers.

“No looking down. This isn’t to embarrass you.”

“Then, what is it for?”

“So you learn,” he says before standing back up. I don’t know what he wants me to learn from this, but when he walks, I fucking crawl. I crawl over to the table, where he sits back down, adjusting his cock as he does.

“That is fucking hot,” Silas murmurs as he looks over at me.

“Seriously?” Angel, his wife, smarts off.

“Yeah, seriously. We’re fucking trying that later,” he says. I see her cheeks turn pink while the others laugh. Then I look back to Hunter. His eyes are burning through me as he holds out a fork with food on it. Is he feeding me? What the hell? I almost don’t open my mouth because I don’t know what the hell is happeningright now, but Hunter nudges my lips, and I part them. He puts the bite into my mouth before pulling the fork away and getting a bite himself. I don’t know how to feel right now. I don’t know what to think.

The rest of the night goes on like this. Everyone carries on a conversation like I’m not sitting on the floor on my fucking knees being fed by this man. He takes his time, and when I’ve had enough, I shake my head. He leans over and whispers, “Such a good girl.” My cheeks heat, my pussy clenches. I’m so confused.

Everyone sits around and talks a little more before they excuse themselves to leave. They all say goodbye to me like we’re old friends when Hunter tells Hoax we’re going to bed. He picks up the chain and leads me back down the hall into the room where I changed earlier. He drops the chain to the floor, and it startles me a little. I watch him go around the room doing little things here and there before punching in a code on the door panel. I hadn’t seen that earlier.

Then he walks back over to me and removes the chain from my neck and nods toward the bed.

“Until I trust you, until I know you, you sleep in here.”

“I’m not sleeping with you.”

“You’re not leaving this room either. There’s a code on the door, and there’s nothing here you can use as a weapon,” he informs me as he climbs on the other side and lays down. I climb on the edge of the bed and sit with my head in my hands. I don’t know what the fuck I’m doing anymore.

Chapter 7

Hunter

She’s been here a week. A whole fucking week. She does what she’s told, and she doesn’t ask questions, but there are still things I don’t know about her, and I want to. Like who the fuck she is and where she came from. She’s here for a reason. I just don’t know what that reason is.

She’s been following every fucking order I give her, and that’s not a good thing for her.

I dozed off for a while, thinking about her bruised and battered knees. She’s been crawling for me all fucking week too. As much as I like it, it’s hurting her and not the way I enjoy.
