I wanted to say something else, because Idefinitelycouldn’t say that, but again others butted in ourprivateconversation and tried to steal our attention.

“Where might people find hot pieces of ass like you, if, you know, they wanted to see you again?” Kevin asked.

Kevin was a model. One that was still in his growing-in-popularity phase, which was why he still managed to go to college and parties, but a model all the same, with model looks and charm andgame.

“The library. It’s where all hot guys hang out nowadays,” Antony answered blandly, his mind clearly not completely in the conversation.

“I guess I’ll have to take a tour then.”

“You’ve never even set foot in the library, Kev,” a guy in my frat said.

“Better late than never, then.”

“Kev wants to get in the new guy’s pants!”

The sofa was suffering under my grip.

“I just assumed and didn’t ask, but you’re single right?”

Antony nodded.

Just shut him down.

I wanted to order him to do it. Say it was some valet shit or whatever stupid excuse. Antony wasn’t getting laid with Kevin—nor anyone else here for that matter.

Over my dead fucking body.

“Kev and Antony are going to hook up!” Some soul with a death wish whooped.

I was going to put my foot down and put some order around here, but Antony finally woke up from his trance and said, “Oh, I don’t hook up. Sorry.”

No need to be sorry.

A shocked gasp sounded from someone in the crowd.

Kevin wasn’t deterred. “Don’t worry, gentleman, I’m open to being wined and dined. I love to go on dates.”

Antony cleared his throat. “I don’t go on dates, either.”

Amanda giggled on the other side. “Oh, comeon, green-eyes, next thing you’ll tell me is that you’re a virgin.”

Quiet took over our little circle.

A pink flush rose up Antony’s cheeks, reaching the tips of his ears and the back of his neck.

What.

My heart lurched and adrenaline took over.

Before anyone could say anything or react, I said, “Antony doesn’t kiss and tell, and since he’s too busy being the smartest guy in his class, he doesn’t have the time to entertain any of your mediocre flirting skills.”

Adam laughed, thankfully breaking the silence further and inviting other people to brush off the moment too. “Right, Antony already has his hands full, doesn’t he?”

I glared at him again.

Adam wanted to die tonight, that was for sure.

But one look at Kevin, who was already looking at me, told me that he had noticed the small jab and he quickly backed off.
