It takes me a while to spot Alex and her entourage. They’re standing by the pool, watching the volleyball game.

A guy with blond hair has joined her group. His face looks familiar. I think I’ve seen him in the hallways of the art building before. He must be an art major. Hell, now that I think about it, many of the students at the party look familiar.

Are they all art majors?

A warm hand slithers around the side of my hip up to my chest. Startled, I turn around and take a step back.

A petite brunette wearing nothing but a white bikini stands behind me. Her hand is still reaching out in my direction. In the other, long white nails hug a red cup. She has white letters painted across her chest. When the living room door opens and a few college students walk into the kitchen, the woman’s chest paint and bikini glow brightly with the black light.

Interesting.

“I didn’t mean to scare you,” the brunette says with a smile. She takes a step forward. “You’re Professor Alvarez, right? I’ve heard about you.”

“That’s me,” I say, glancing at the window. Alex is standing by the pool by herself. Behind the brunette, the door to the backyard opens, and the blond guy who is part of Alex’s group comes in and grabs two beers before heading out again.

“Is it true what they say?” the brunette asks, scanning me from top to bottom.

“Who says what?” I ask, only half paying attention. I glance out the window and see the blond guy hand Alex a beer.

Where are her other friends?

“Oh, you know,” she says as if I could read minds. She drops her glance on my pants and says, “About the size?”

I’m too busy looking out the window at Alex and the blond guy for guessing games. Somehow, Alex and this guy ended up alone. It makes me wonder who he is to her. She never mentioned other guys before.

For some reason, it annoys the fuck out of me to think they are together.

“A lot of girls in the art program talk, you know,” the brunette says. “Can I see it?”

“See what?” I ask, still glancing out the window.

“Your massive, juicy cock,” she says bluntly. “There are spare rooms upstairs. If you follow me, we can have some fun. I promise to be discreet, Professor.”

I glance at her one more time. I’ll admit she’s hot. Any other night, I would have gladly spread her open and shoved myself into her until she is screaming my name and creaming all over my cock.

But that’s not why I’m here tonight. I want to know what Alex is up to. I want to protect her in case there’s any trouble. If there’s one thing I learned during my time in college and these past two years as a professor, it’s that college guys are idiots and do stupid shit when they think no one is watching.

Glancing out the window again, my heart turns cold.

Alex just collapsed into the blond guy’s arms. He wraps his arms around her and walks her toward a small shed at the back of the property. He looks over his shoulder as if to make sure nobody is watching them.

Somehow, nobody else in the backyard is aware of what’s going on. They are all huddled around a guy doing a keg stand.

Rage courses through my veins. Without wasting another second, I slip into my enforcer persona.

“Move,” I tell the girl in front of me. She stares at me as if I’m speaking another language. “Move!” I growl.

She startles and steps aside, letting me through to the backdoor. As soon as I’m out, I pace toward the shed where the blond guy took Alex.

That guy just committed the biggest mistake of his fucking life.

Chapter 19

Alex

When Isabella and I arrive at the party, Abby and Gianna lead us to a table at the far right of the backyard. A few feet away, frat guys take turns doing keg stands. Beyond them is a pool where a volleyball game seems to be going on, but I can’t hear that far over the loud music and the guys by the keg stand screaming and cheering.

Our table has a bottle of tequila that’s halfway empty and is littered with disposable red shot cups.
