He’s going to die,his mind raged.
But he had to find Fae first. Tearing his gaze from the paused image of the woman now slumped in the chair, he took in the background behind her. She was in a room, the walls inked in words and symbols he recognized. The letter N in a circle with a cross as the second upright line.
Los Noches. A street gang that claimed a small territory on the other side of the city. There were a few warehouses over there, places where they partied. They were a low-level group of thugs with no real claim to fame save they were terrible at keeping their noses out of their own stashes. He’d had a few run-ins with them when they tried to move in on club business, trying to sell their junk in Up to No Good and Delicious, their strip club. But Los Noches had never been so bold as to kidnap anyone, especially someone associated with the Raiders.
In that video from the studio, was Teddy on the phone with someone from Los Noches?
Words failed him as blistering rage fueled the fire of vengeance in his blood.
“Raiding party!” he blasted, every eye in the room turning to him. “I know where that fucker took her.”
Rushing to AFK’s office, he shared what he’d learned from the video, and with the information AFK already had on the direction Teddy’s car had travelled, they had a near perfect location of where his woman was being held. There was only one building on that block where someone could be held captive without raising suspicions.
Forty minutes later, six men marched from the clubhouse, armed to the teeth and ready to spill enemy blood. No one fucked with the Savage Raiders. No one put a hand on club property.
As he swung his leg over his ride, a sinister smile creased Hawk’s face.
Banshee and his bastard accomplice were going to die tonight.
Hold on, Fae, baby. I’m coming for you.
Brian Tyler stared down at the prone body of the waste of space, a piece of shit who dared think he could have what belonged to him. The bullet hole in the middle of his forehead was like a third eye, winking at him and crying tears of blood.
“We can share, he says,I earned a piece of her, too, he says,” Tyler mimics, mocking the dead man’s stupid words. Words that cost him his life.
Tyler spit on Teddy’s death white face, kicking him in his death still chest for good measure. “No one gets Aoibheal but me. She’s mine.Mine!”
It took longer than he’d expected to deal with Teddy, so by the time he returned to the small commercial building on the fringe of Rancho, he wondered if his recalcitrant guest was hungry…and if she was ready to do what needed to be done.
He’d gone easy on her before, but if she didn’t do what she was supposed to do this time around, he might be forced to do something hurtful.
Unlocking the padlock from the steel door to what used to be a storage room, he slipped inside and grinned at Fae who hadn’t even bothered to greet him.
“Change of plans, my dear. It looks like my desire to share your talent with the world will have to wait. I’m not quite ready to share you yet—if ever. I want to keep you, your songs, and your body all to myself. You and I are going somewhere where those fucking bikers can’t find you.”
She jerked her head up, shock making her features tighten. Hmmm, he liked that look on her face. It wasn’t as good as the fear, but he’d take anything besides the woe-is-me expression she was carrying when he first entered the room.
“What about my family?” she bleated. “They’ll miss me!”
“You mean your thieving step-sister?” Tyler rolled his eyes, snickering. “She’s been running up debts in your name for months. How do you think she’d been paying for all her clothes and extravagances?”
She hesitated, her brows furrowing at the thought. “My advance for the album,” Fae finally remarked. Stupidly.
That really made him laugh. Nearly doubling over, he almost missed the wince on Fae’s face.
“What advance? Jimmy has been using you just as much as Carrie has—they are in on it together. Who the hell gets advances in gift cards for gas and grocery stores? They were keeping you on a leash while they went crazy—Carrie with your credit rating, and Jimmy with his plans for a future with Aoibheal. Well, Aoibheal, withoutyouthere. They planned it from the beginning. I looked at that sorry excuse for an NDA. I can’t believe you fell for that.”
“W-what do y-you mean?” Aw, the precious idiot was getting overwhelmed again. Well, it was his job as her new owner to give it to her straight. She deserved to know the truth, anyway. He could give her that much. And she just might thank him for it.
His cock thickened at that thought. Her mouth wrapped around his dick would be a good way to thank him. Her choking on his length, her eyes watering as she tried to take all of him, her saliva dripping from her chin…. She’d make a mess.
“I mean Jimmy wrote that thing intending to make you break it so that you’d be forced to pay out. Before he even approached you at that gas station, he had your house valuated.”
Her eyes grew wide, her mouth dropping open. “Two-hundred-thousand dollars…” she murmured breathlessly.
“Got it in one.”
“But why all that work just to get two hundred grand? And how did he even know about me to approach me with the scheme?”
