Page 41 of The Laughing Game

Vihaal only smiled and looked smug as he drove the car. But Gideon turned a shocked look on me.

“Is that all you’ve got to say?” he demanded, looking so fucking cute and offended and tired after his experience in the Bordello.

I laughed. “What do you want me to say?”

Now he looked even more offended.

I sighed. “Okay, look. I’ve never witnessed anything so fucking hot in my life before.”

Gideon’s expression softened.

“Happy now?” I asked.

He gave me a short nod and smug smile.

“As a matter of fact,” he said, “I’m feeling very relaxed and content right now. And satisfied that we gave you a good show, and maybe some insight into hownot straightyou might be.”

“Fuck, Gideon. That ship sailed way back at your sexy tea party.” I shrugged. “Maybe before that.”

Gideon huffed a laugh. “Good.”

“I really don’t think you’re vanilla, either,” Vihaal murmured, eyes fixed on the road ahead.

“Vanilla?”

Gideon laughed. “Vihaal thinks you’re kinky. Like us.”

“I think Vihaal is a very smart and perceptive man.”

We were silent the rest of the way to my place.

“I’ll walk you to the door, Angel,” Gideon said as Vihaal pulled into my driveway.

“Sure,” I said, not wanting to argue with the man whose face I’d painted with my jizz about forty minutes ago, even though I was capable of getting to the front door myself.

“I want to give you something,” Gideon explained, and as soon as Vihaal had put the car in park, he was opening the passenger door and getting out.

“Angel,” Vihaal murmured, as I prepared to exit.

“Yes?”

“Gideon really likes you.”

“Well…I’m glad.” Warmth filled my chest. “And, uh, what about…what about you?”

Vihaal smiled. “I like you too.”

Gideon knocked on the window and beckoned me, but Vihaal wasn’t finished.

“I love Gideon. And he loves me. And we are committed to each other,” he stated. “But if you are so inclined, we would have you as another person in our…intimate circle. It may not work out. But if it does, won’t it be marvelous?”

“I’m…inclined. I am so, soinclined, as a matter of fact.”

Gideon opened the car door.

“V! Let Angel out of the fucking car.”

“Wait, can I call you V?” I asked, giving Vihaal a cheeky smile.
