He nodded. “I did, but only because it all happened faster than I could get the paperwork in order.” He noticed the disbelief on my face and took another step forward. “You told Rhonda that you wouldn’t be buying this place back in March. I had to jump on it immediately, otherwise she was going to list it, and we’d all be fucked. What would you have done if, at the beginning of March, I approached you with this idea?”

I was silent because he was right. I probably would’ve told him he was insane and it was too soon to be making life-altering decisions like those.

“Exactly,” he said, again reading my expression perfectly.

“Stop fucking reading me like that,” I ground out, which made him smile.

“I can’t help it.” He wrapped an arm around Amanda’s shoulders, leaned down, and kissed the top of her head. I don’t think anything warmed my heart more than watching the two of them together.

“This still doesn’t make sense,” I argued, and Reed sighed loudly.

“What else do you want me to tell you, Sunshine? I bought the bar. I want the three of us to own the bar together and decide how we want to go about everything else involvedtogether.”

“That doesn’t explain why the fuck you did it, though. Especially when I specifically told you not to do it!”

“Because I fucking love you!” Reed yelled back.

I stepped backward, initially caught off guard by his confession. But of all his reasons and arguments, that one actually made the most sense.

I’d whispered the same words to him—without the profanity—one night after I knew he’d fallen asleep. I just wanted to know how it would feel to say them to a man. But Reed wasn’t just any man or any person to me. He was one half of the loves of my life.

And I knew love made you do impulsive, crazy things.

“I fucking love you, too,” I said simply. And he nodded at me. I nodded back, and Amanda cheered and fist-pumped.

“Fucking finally! I’ve been waiting forever for the two of you to get over yourselves and just say it. No more awkward pauses when we’re saying goodbye or going to bed.”

“So glad I could help,” Reed muttered, and I gave up my argument. Although I didn’t want him to buy the bar just for me, I knew he hadn’t meant it as anything more than a kind gesture. A way to show his love.

I stepped up to them, pulled Amanda into my side where she fit perfectly, and weaved my fingers through the soft hair at the base of Reed’s neck.

“Just because I love you doesn’t mean you’re off the hook. This was a lot of money.”

His honey-brown eyes sparkled with mischief and a lopsided grin pulled at one side of his lips.

“Well, then I’m going to have a lot of fun figuring out ways for you to pay me back.”

He didn’t give me a chance to respond, instead pulling me in for a long, lingering kiss. I licked against his lips and was immediately rewarded with a deep groan that rumbled through his chest.

One of his large hands fisted in the front of my shirt as we both deepened the kiss. I responded with a groan of my own.

Reluctantly, I pulled away to find Amanda staring up at us with a hungry desire in her eyes.

“Let’s christen it,” she offered with a grin, and without a word between us, Reed and I both moved to lift Amanda onto the bar. Every inch of the place would have to be disinfected again by the time we were done, but that was the last thing on my mind. Staring at Amanda in her little sundress propped up on the bar, I knew she didn’t have anything on underneath it. And Reed knew it too when his hand began gliding up the inside of her thigh.

I’d never been so sure of something before, but that was exactly where I wanted to be for the rest of my life—with the two of them.

Reed reached Amanda’s bare pussy, ran his tongue over his lower lip, and smiled at me.

“Our dirty girl.”

EPILOGUE

Amanda

Two Months Later

“Are we ready?”I asked my two men as we stepped out of Reed’s SUV. Josh smiled and nodded while Reed grunted before reluctantly nodding.
