“I didn’t even notice him. What did he say?” Josh asked, and I could feel the new nervous energy rolling off of him.

“He said that he was proud of me.”

Josh and I shared a look in the rearview mirror, neither of us expecting that.

“He said that he understood he’d been hard on me my entire life but that he had the best intentions. And even though I’d made all of the decisions he’d told me not to, I’d still turned out alright. That I’m successful in spite of refusing his advice. And then he told me that if we were together…” He glanced at Josh. “That he would support us. That’s when I told him that we’re all three together.”

I swallowed thickly and fiddled with the hem of my dress nervously as I waited for him to continue.

“And…” Josh prompted the longer the silence went on.

Reed chuckled, he actually fucking laughed before he shook his head. “He said he didn’t really understand it but that I’d obviously done something right if I could keep two people happy. Most people can’t even handle one.”

“That’s so good,” I said. My smile grew by the second and so did Reed’s. He reached over the center console and gripped my thigh with his strong palm. The anxiety and caution we’d all witnessed at dinner had completely evaporated. If I wasn’t mistaken, we were all sitting a little taller and feeling a little lighter.

The person we thought would be one of the most difficult to convince of the validity of our relationship turned out to be unabashedly accepting.

“What did y’all and my mom talk about?” Reed asked.

Josh reclined, arms resting along the back of the seat like a king. “We flipped through photo albums of little Reed. Your ass looked cute even when you were a kid.”

Reed groaned, and Josh laughed as we turned out of the neighborhood. “I also heard about the time that you were scared something was wrong with you because… wait, I need to remember the exact wording your mom used. I think she said you were scared because, and I quote, ‘my pee-pee shrinks when I get cold.’ She said you were concerned for weeks about the size of your manhood.”

Josh and I both erupted in a fit of laughter while Reed shook his head, fuming from his seat and casting annoyed glances between us.

“I was like four years old, maybe.”

“Are you sure you don’t still have some deep-seated concern about the size of your—”

“No,” he said firmly, cutting me off.

“Man, I get it. This is a judgment-free zone if you would like to discuss any insecurities.”

Reed growled and abruptly came to a stop at a red light. He took the opportunity to throw daggers at us both. “You both know firsthand that I do not have a complex about my dick. And when we get back to our place, I will gladly show you how confident I am and how well I can use it.”

“Promises, promises,” I chided.

“I’d be careful what you hope for, Cielo. What Josh and I are going to do to you when we get upstairs…”

“I have some ideas,” Josh added darkly.

And a delightful shiver hurried down my spine.

Reed

“On the bed.”

Josh and Amanda were lip-locked from the moment we stepped into the apartment. But they both had the wherewithal to move toward my bedroom.

“Who?” Amanda asked in a low, breathy voice that zapped straight to my cock. My hand encircled her throat, and as she always did, her breath skipped in excitement.

“Cielo,” I purred into her ear. “You know exactly who I was talking to.”

Eagerly, she sat her pretty little ass on my bed and scooted back to the pillows. Her little black dress rode higher the farther up my dark-green comforter she moved. One glance at Josh standing beside me and I knew his thoughts were the same as mine—we both wanted that dress off of her.

“Take off the dress.”
