“Uh, that was the plan.”
He groaned a complaint, but he had a sleepy and sexy smile on his face.
I crawled over to him and pulled him against me. “Thanks for marrying me, baby,” I said, kissing his head.
“Anytime. Let me know what else I can do for you, boss.”
I chuckled and kissed him again.
“We’re going to have a family soon. We’re going to foster some kids. Maybe we can do surrogacy, too.”
“How many kids are you planning?”
“I don’t know. Ten?”
Greyson sat up, wide-eyed and jaw dropped. “Ten?!”
I snorted a laugh. “I’m teasing. Ten is a lot, but at least three.”
“Phew, okay. Three I can handle… I think. I mean, I’ve never really been around kids before.”
“I don’t know if I can give grandfather some great-grandkids on time, so he’ll just have to be satisfied with our marriage. But knowing him, he’ll start nagging us as soon as we get back from our honeymoon.”
“Oh, joy. I love grandfather, but damn, he’s pushy as hell.”
“You would be, too, if you were in your nineties and none of your grandkids had been married or had kids… until now, that is.”
Greyson rolled on top of me and kissed my nose. “Well, I’ll be happy to have some kids with you. Now, let’s discuss what we’re going to do for round two.”
“Round two? I’m not sure I can get it up again.”
He scoffed. “You’re not that old yet… old man.” His eyes twinkled because he knew he was going to get punished for that little comment.
To prove his point, he kissed down my body and swiped his tongue along my length. Sure enough, my dick tried to throb back to life.
“See?”
“I stand corrected, love of my life.”
FIVE YEARS LATER
“Delaney! Stop putting sand down your brother’s pullup! Do you have any idea of how long that’s going to take me to clean him?”
She giggled when I lifted her and spun her around. Her blond hair in pigtails looked like a helicopter around her head.
The six-year-old girl and her brother Micah, a two-year-old, were the first children Xander and I fostered and ended up adopting last year. The service had a hard time finding homes that had the space to take them both in, and we had the large home and money to do it.
Micah walked over to where I was holding his sister and reached for me. I squatted and picked him up two, standing there with two kids on either side of my hips, watching my hot husband tossing our latest edition, Ethan, in the waves.
Ethan was fourteen when he came to us last year. We were currently in the process of adopting him. Ethan's life hadn’t been easy after living from home to home. Coming to live with people who had a lot of money and a big house. It left him doubting and trusting us. We probably looked too good to be true.
Xander and I also had a woman who was our surrogate, pregnant with a girl. She was due to come to us in two months, and I couldn’t wait.
Life was full, wild, and busy. I loved every second of it. Since we’d be extra busy soon, we took the kids to the beach in the Gulf because it wasn’t too far.
I ended up leaving the company, and Xander had to find himself a new PA because I wanted to be a stay-at-home dad and give those kids all the attention and love that they deserved.
Too bad Xander’s grandfather died three years ago before he could meet the kids. He would’ve loved them. But my parents and Xander’s family doted on them.
