Two days later, I’m sitting in my apartment, anxiously waiting for Millie to arrive from a day with Lily. I hear a knock at the door and my heart skips a beat. I open it to find Millie standing there with a smile that lights up her face.
“Hey,” she says, holding out a small envelope.
“Hey,” I reply, taking the envelope. She looks effortlessly beautiful, her hair falling in soft waves around her shoulders.
“I wanted to give you these,” she says, her eyes twinkling. “Tickets for the game on Sunday.”
I open the envelope and pull out the tickets, a grin spreading across my face. “You didn’t have to do this.”
“I wanted to,” she says, stepping closer. “And I’ve agreed. We can have a whole conversation after the game. All four of us.”
I look at her, feeling a wave of relief. “Really? That’s awesome. Thank you.”
I take a step forward and pull her into a hug, my arms wrapping around her waist. “You know, you’re incredible.”
She giggles softly against my chest. “I’m glad you think so.”
We stand there for a moment, just holding each other. My mind is racing, thinking about all the things I want to say and do. I pull back slightly, looking into her eyes. “I’ve been wanting to do this all day.”
Before she can respond, I kiss her. It starts slow, tender, but quickly builds into something more intense. Her lips are warm and soft against mine and I can feel the passion between us heating up. I deepen the kiss, my hands sliding down to her hips, pulling her closer.
She responds eagerly, her fingers tangling in my hair. The heat between us is almost unbearable and I can’t get enough of her. When we finally pull apart, we’re both breathless, our eyes locked.
“God, I’ve missed you,” I say, my voice low and rough.
She smiles, her cheeks flushed. “I’ve missed you too.”
I lead her to the bedroom, the anticipation building with every step. I can feel the tension in the air and it only makes me more eager. Once we’re in the room, I pull her close again, kissing her with a fervor that speaks of everything I’ve been feeling.
I start to undress her slowly, my fingers brushing against her skin. She shivers with each touch and I can’t help but smile. I take my time, savoring every moment, every gasp and every moan.
When she’s finally bare, I push her gently onto the bed, my eyes drinking in the sight of her. I strip off my own clothes,my movements hurried with excitement. I climb onto the bed, positioning myself between her legs and I let out a soft groan as I feel her heat against me.
I start by kissing her inner thighs, moving slowly and deliberately. Her breathing becomes uneven and I can feel her trembling with anticipation. I take my time, teasing her, making her wait. When I finally move to where she needs me most, I’m met with a gasp of pleasure.
I go down on her with a fierce determination, my tongue and lips working in a rhythm that drives her wild. I can feel her body reacting, her hips arching and her fingers digging into the sheets. I’m focused, intent on making her feel every bit of pleasure I can give her.
She moans, her voice a beautiful mix of desperation and pleasure. Her body tenses and then relaxes, the waves of her orgasm rolling over her. I keep going, pushing her higher, to make sure she gets everything she needs.
Chapter Twenty-Two
Finn
I’ve been pacing my apartment for hours, running off the anxiety eating at me.
The damn Seattle team’s been all over social media, boasting about how they’re going to crush us. It’s eating me alive.
My ADHD meds are making me jittery, so running is my only escape. I hear a knock at the door and I’m just in my boxers, I swing it open, expecting Declan. Instead, I’m hit with the sight of Millie standing there.
Damn, she’s stunning. Her hair’s pulled back in a messy bun, a few curls framing her face. She’s wearing this gorgeous, flowy blue dress that ends just above her knees. It’s casual but somehow elegant and the way it moves with her, it’s like she’s gliding. Her eyes are wide, filled with something that makes my heart stutter.
“Hey,” she says, her voice a soft whisper. “Can I come in?”
I smile, feeling a rush of warmth seeing her here. “Of course. Come in.”
She steps inside and I close the door behind her. The apartment feels instantly brighter with her here. The way she moves into my space feels almost intimate, like she’s been here a hundred times before, even though this is only the second time.
I watch as she takes in my place, her gaze lingering on the plants scattered around and the Chopinplaying softly in the background. It’s a contrast to the chaos in my head.
