I come with a shuddering cry, my body tensing and trembling as he guides me through the intense waves of pleasure. His fingers never stop, continuing their rhythm until I’m completely spent. He swallows my whimpers, his mouth finding mine in a heated kiss that tastes of lingering ecstasy.

When it’s over, I’m left breathless and shaky, my legs barely holding me up. Declan pulls back slightly, his eyes filled with a mix of satisfaction and tenderness.

“You’re incredible,” he says softly, brushing a stray lock of hair from my face.

I smile, my cheeks flushed and my body still tingling from the aftermath.

“All good?” he asks softly.

I nod, still trying to catch my breath. “Yeah, all good.”

He kisses me again, slow and tender, before pulling back. “Let’s get you a blanket, okay? You look like you could use one.”

I nod, feeling both relieved and confused. What is going on? I can’t deny the intensity of what just happened, but it’s also a lot to process.

Declan wraps an arm around me and leads me to the couch, where he drapes a soft blanket over me. He sits beside me,still watching me with a look of concern and satisfaction. “You okay?”

I look at him, my thoughts a whirlwind. “Yeah, this is all just…a lot to take in.”

He nods understandingly. “I know. It’s a lot. But we’re here now.”

I take a deep breath, trying to steady my thoughts. “Thanks, Declan.”

He smiles, brushing a strand of hair from my face. “Anytime, Millie. Anytime.”

As I sit there, wrapped in the blanket and surrounded by the comforting presence of Declan, I can’t help but wonder what this all means. What’s happening between us? How does this fit into the mess of emotions and relationships I’m tangled up in?

Declan’s hand gently rests on mine, grounding me as I try to make sense of everything.

I look at him and whisper, “I need to figure this out.”

He nods. “Take your time. I’m here.”

And as I lean into his touch, I am filled with a sense of both confusion and comfort.

Chapter Twenty-One

Chase

The night air is crisp as I rev the engine of my motorcycle, the rumble vibrating through my body. Millie’s behind me, arms wrapped around my waist. I can feel that she’s tense, her thoughts clearly tangled up in the mess of emotions she’s been dealing with. I keep my focus on the road, but my mind is consumed by the conversation we had earlier.

We’re heading out to clear her head and I’m hoping this ride will help. It’s quiet out here, with just the hum of the engine and the wind rushing past. I can feel her breathing steadying as the ride goes on.

After a while, I pull over to the side of the road. The city lights twinkle in the distance. I turn off the engine and shift to face her. “We need to talk.”

She looks at me, her eyes reflecting the streetlights. “About what?”

I take a deep breath, trying to find the right words. “About us. I want to know what you’re thinking. What you want.”

Millie hesitates, then nods. “Okay.”

I look at her, waiting for her to speak. “I want a serious relationship with you, Millie. I’m not just looking for something casual. I want to build something real.”

She looks down, her fingers fidgeting with the edge of her jacket. “I want that too, Chase. But I also want to explore what I have with Declan and Finn.”

“Does sex with them feel different?” I ask, trying to keep my tone neutral.

She nods slowly. “Yeah. It’s different. Like…like how I like pasta, pizza, and fries. They all have their own flavors, you know?”
