“So all his showers are glass. What are you gonna do with it?” Peyton paused. “Why dowehave a shower curtain? We also have a glass shower. There’s no bath here.”
“I bought it at a yard sale. I haven’t decided yet what I want to do with it.”
Jericho stifled a laugh and wandered around the room, glancing at the boxes. Some were labelled “op shop,” others had Peyton and Will’s names on them, and then Parker’s, Peyton’s twin. Who was moving in with a married couple that he was dating. An interesting thing to have in common.
“We’re not keeping it,” Peyton said firmly. “Put it in an op-shop box.”
“You’re not the boss of me.”
“Sorry,Parker.” Peyton huffed and closed the box. “The two of you are incapable of letting anything go. It’s like trying to throw out a kid’s old toy that they haven’t played with for years, but suddenly it’s theonetoy they have to have right that second. Neither of you should be allowed to pack your things up when moving. That’s a new rule.”
Jericho knew how that went. He and Hunter had found creatively sneaky ways to make some of Olivia’s old toys disappear. Even then, sometimes she cottoned on and demanded they return them to their rightful place. She had a place for everything, and she knew when it was moved. There had to be a sass class being taught at her school. Hunter should investigate that.
Peyton handed the box to Jericho and said, “Put that near the others, please. We need to book in for WA. Will Anonymous. You’re all invited.”
“I take offence to that.” Will sniffed.
“We can start a monthly evening session.”
“I’ll bring the wine,” Jericho drawled. He leaned over the back of the couch and hugged Peyton from behind, kissing his cheek. “You can bring Will.”
“What kind of meeting is this?” Will asked suspiciously.
“We’re not taking questions at this time; please check back later,” Peyton said in a voicemail voice. He twisted on the couch and rose up onto his knees, facing Jericho. “Did you hear from Quinn about the trailer?”
“Yes, I was speaking to him earlier. We can pick it up at nine tomorrow morning. His partner, Grady, will be here to help, but his boyfriend—Mal, was it?—had last-minute plan changes, so it’s just the big guy. Another detective, Gideon, will be coming for a few hours as well, with his little boy, Hudson; they’ll be on ‘keep Persephone and Olivia occupied’ duty.”
“Good call.”
Jericho carded his fingers through Peyton’s hair, the strands like silk over his skin. “In the meantime, Sebastian is doing his bestPretty Womanimpression and buying up half the city with Quinn. Good thing they took my car and not his Lexus.”
“Does it still count asPretty Womanif he’s using his own money?” Peyton asked.
“Seb kisses on the mouth,” Will said, nodding.
“Do you kiss on the mouth, Will?” Jericho asked, drawing him closer.
Will smiled. “I could be persuaded.”
Jericho wrapped Peyton’s hair in his hand as he kissed Will, keeping them both close. When he switched to Peyton, he was ready and waiting. And then it was only fair that Will and Peyton got a taste as well. Jericho bit his bottom lip, his dick stirring. He could watch them all day.
He glimpsed the clock still hanging on the wall.
Unfortunately, he had a prior engagement.
“I need to go and see a man about a dog,” Jericho said, reluctantly moving away from them so he wasn’t lured back in. It was too easy to forget that the rest of the world existed when their attention was all his. “And you’re both invited. Are you done here?”
Peyton vaulted over the back of the couch, landing smoothly beside Jericho. “I’m so done here. We should have just let them torch the place.”
“Hey!” Will protested. “I like my stuff!”
“Where are we going?” Peyton asked.
“It’s a secret.”
WILL AND PEYTON WEREall but vibrating in their seat by the time Jericho pulled up at an older house on a long stretch of land just outside the city. They were out of the car before Jerichohad gotten his seat belt off, like children being taken to a candy store.
He flicked his sunglasses down over his eyes and then followed them at a more sedate pace.
