“I could be.”
I wonder if I should add an invitation to give him what he wants if he lets me out of these restraints. He seems interested, but is he willing to disobey his boss?
When he doesn’t make a move, I say, “I’ve always liked you, Andre. If Alex was here, he’d tell you. I even told him not to fire you the other day.”
“If he was here, I’d be dead.”
“True, but he’s not here,” I say in my sexiest voice.
Andre stands from his chair and walks over to where I’m sitting before crouching down in front of me. He looks like that kind man I thought was someone who had a crush on me for the past few weeks when he looks up into my eyes.
Without saying a word, he slides his hands up my legs until the pads of his thumbs graze the tops of my inner thighs. I feel nothing because I hate this man and can’t wait until Alex kills him, but I pretend to love his touch as I know I must.
Andre shoves my legs open and pushes the heel of his palm against my pussy. I moan my best attempt at sounding aroused, and he smiles at me.
“I think we can have a lot of fun.”
“It could be even better if you took off these ropes.”
He nods but doesn’t move to free me. It was worth a try. Now to endure what he wants in the hope I can escape while he’s busy getting off.
CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO
Alex
My office door flies open, and a second later, my father and brother stroll in like anyone fucking invited them to the party. I shake my head and stand up from behind my desk, uninterested in whatever the hell they think they’re doing.
“I don’t have time for either of you right now. Aren’t you supposed to be sitting at the foot of your girlfriend’s bed waiting to be her nursemaid, Gideon?”
“Nice to see you too,” my brother says with a snarl. “Even in the middle of a crisis, you can’t resist insulting me.”
My father glares first at Gideon and then at me. “Enough out of you two. Alex, your mother tells me Sasha is gone. Have you found her yet?”
Jesus. Could my mother make things worse tonight? First with Sasha and now with these two.
“No, but I know where she is, so if you don’t mind, I need to get going. Before you say a word about coming with me, the answer is again, no. I have guards who know how to handle this kind of thing, so you can find Mom in the guest room on the other side of the villa. Feel free to have the cook make you some of his mushroom risotto. I hear it’s particularly good this time.”
“I can’t believe you put Sasha in this kind of danger. I knew it was a bad idea to let her come here,” Gideon says, instantly pissing me off.
As I rack my gun, I snap, “You didn’t let her come here. She left your lousy fucking hotel because she wanted a challenge and powdering some vagina goblin’s ass wasn’t it. So take your bullshit out of my office and let me handle things.”
Surprisingly, my father laughs at my clapback, but he still thinks he needs to be here to help. He doesn’t.
“Alex, you and I helped Gideon when Aria was taken, so we’re here for you now.”
I stuff my gun into my waistband and shake my head. “Thanks, but I don’t need either of you, so go back to the coast and sip on fruity drinks by the water.”
That goes too far for my father, and I get a scowl for my clever effort. “Not happening, so now that we got that settled, what’s your plan?”
Christ, I hate my family right now. I was shot, for fuck’s sake. Sasha’s being held hostage. Isn’t that enough misery to deal with in one week? Now I have to deal with these two?
Resigned to the two of them joining in on the night’s fun, I say, “Go in, kill everyone, get Sasha, and bring her home. Easy peasy. Nothing elaborate. Just basic slice and dice.”
My father’s eyebrows slowly rise into his forehead. “And you think it’s going to be that simple?”
Before I can answer, Gideon interjects his unwanted opinion. “You need to have something better than that. Sasha’s life is on the line here.”
“I don’t fucking need to be reminded of that!” I bark at him, already sick of dealing with his bullshit. “She’s with me now, so I’ll take care of her.”
