Jody
Ifound out what color Axton turned when blushing. It’s a rose gold that took my breath away. But honestly, I couldn’t do freaking jumping jacks all the way. Not with my boobs able to flop free.
As if they had their own mind, my nipples hardened against the rough material of the prison uniform. Or it could be from the junk they injected me with to make me horny.
Honestly though, all I needed was for Axton to stare at me like I had a cherry-filled center and I was his favorite candy to get me going. And I wanted him to taste me all over.
But I couldn’t. It wasn't fair to try and get him to do something that he felt was wrong, no matter how horny I was. And after how the Roulex treated me, I couldn’t blame him. And there was still the issue of my dad. God, I’ve got to find a way out of this mess.
First though, I needed the liquid they shot me up with to back off so I could think about how to do that instead of sex. I thought that was part of the reason Axton didn’t tear into me the moment I returned to the cell.
They must have given him this drug many times. How did he avoid having sex with the multiple women I know the Roulex would’ve locked in here with him before me? That thought made rage surge through my veins.
I told myself that it didn’t matter. That if he had sex with any of those women, they’d have gotten pregnant, and the Roulex wouldn’t be so desperate for a half-Angeliminir offspring.
“Okay.” I held onto my breasts when he couldn’t seem to take his gaze off my chest and jumped. “How about this?”
He made a weird noise in his throat. “Let’s try something else.”
“Great.” I stopped jumping, already starting to get winded. Man, I needed to up my cardio. Hauling food trays had made my arms strong, but the only time I did anything aerobic was when I hustled to work.
“I’ll come at you and you stop me.”
This sounded like it was going to end badly for me.
He dove toward me so fast that I let out a squeak. His hands were around my throat and I was pinned to the wall. His brow furrowed. “Why didn’t you do anything?”
“I wasn’t ready.”
“The enemy won’t wait. You must be ready for everything.”
“You sound like Yoda.”
“Who?” He glowered, dropping his hands from my neck. “Was Yoda your boyfriend?”
I snickered. “Hardly.” Was it just me or was Axton acting more jealous and possessive lately? Did it have something to do with the injection I received?
“Do not mention other males around me.” He inhaled sharply, his golden eyes turning my insides to liquid.
“Trust me.” I patted his muscled chest. “You’ve got nothing to worry about.”
“Again, this time do not hesitate, you will not hurt me.”
“Oh?” I asked remembering kneeing him earlier. I gave him a sweet-sexy smile but stopped when the cut on my lip stung.
The rosy-gold color highlighted his cheeks again. “I was distracted.”
His hand paused over mine still on his chest. I could feel his heartbeat against my palm speed up. He lowered his head, his lips a breath from mine.
“W-we shouldn’t do this.” But I couldn’t look away from his luscious mouth. Really, a guy or alien shouldn’t have lips so perfect.
A dozen different emotions fought for dominance in his face. He wanted me as much as I needed him.
He leaned his forehead against mine. “You are too much of a temptation, Jody. If we were anywhere else then I wouldn’t hesitate unless you told me to. But I can’t let the Roulex win. They’ve taken too much from me and my people already.”
“I understand.” I cupped his cheek. “I didn’t before. I-I believed their lies about you—about everything.”
“I’ve never lied to you.”
