Hold your head up, you made it. Unfortunately, some don’t.” She nodded, diving into his arms.

Amelia cried into his chest because she knew he was never leaving her. It gave her a boldness she’d never had before. After she wiped her eyes and her nose on his shirt, she looked up with innocent eyes. “I’m ready for my punishment now.”
