Happiness and excitement pooled in my stomach.
His fingers ran up the length of my legs, leaving goosebumps in its wake.
My whole body quivered beneath him in anticipation.
He lifted the full weight of my body up into his arms and pressed his fingers into the flesh of my thighs to hold me in place.
“I assure you, I will never leave again,” he said, groaning into my skin as he pulled me closer.
He filled me, slowly… Gently.
It was like he was taking all of me.
And I was more than happy to be taken apart.
My mind fell away from the world, and I allowed myself to bask in the feeling of him against me, inside me.
I could faintly hear his moans and grunts through the haze of my own pleasure.
The more time we spent bonded, the more intense our sex became.
I loved it. I loved him.
“Sophia… You are my world,” he whispered into my ear.
My body exploded with lights and colors, and all I could do was cling to him with all the strength I had left.
Then I floated down from the heavens, finding myself back on the feathery mattress.
I faded into sheer bliss.
Iwoke up suddenly, feeling power surging through my body. This had only happened twice before, but I still wasn't used to it.
“Do we still have that going on?” Kaine, who was waiting for me to wake up, smiled as soon as I made eye contact with him.
I smiled at him, realizing what tonight was. “Are you sure you want to keep going? It's getting really sad for you now.”
“My dear, I’m determined to win tonight.” He held up his head proudly as if he’d already won. “The question is, are you up for it?”
I quickly got out of bed and changed into my nightgown.
Kaine opened the door of our bedroom, and like the gentleman he was, he allowed me through before him. He took my hand as we made our way outside.
As I entered the garden, I looked up at the night sky, where the full moon was out in full force.
Now that I had seen it, I felt like it was impossible to control my shifting. I wondered how the Fae King had been able to suppress it within me for so long.
“Remember to take deep breaths and focus.” Kaine let go of my hand only because he began to shift.
It was effortless now.
I didn't even need direction anymore. I felt my muscles shifting and my bones stretching.
It didn't hurt at all, not like it had the first time I shifted. Probably because back then, I’d been fighting against it.
I lowered my head to see my fine white hooves against the stone path running through the garden.
When I looked over, Kaine was already in his shifted wolf form.
