“I’ll think about it.” It was all I could say.

Plopping down into the car, he leaned an elbow out of the already open window. “Whatever you do, you two better hide your attraction for a while at work. I don’t want to provoke another fight while things are so sensitive.”

I nodded once.

“And for fuck’s sake,” he furrowed his brow, “stop getting weird about her grinding on other men. If I can accept Jenna doing it, you can accept Gia doing it.”

NEW RULES

GIOVANNA

When Tyler entered the house again, I was still in the den. Curled up on the couch with a blanket over my lap, I rested my head on the spongy, back pillow. Fenway was sitting on the floor next to me, his head laying on the cushion beside my feet. Tyler shook his head with an amused eye roll when he approached, sitting next to me, pulling my legs into his lap.

“I hope using this blanket is okay?” I darted my gaze around the room. “I mean, if it was special to her, I don’t want to make?—”

Trailing his fingers up and down my shin, he smiled. “No, you’re good. I bought that a few months ago. You might have to fight Naya for it, though.”

“I’ll let her have it back.” I snickered before my voice trailed off. “Sooo, does he hate me?” I was nervous to ask, but I needed to know. Usually, I didn’t care about that sort of thing, but with these people, it was different. I cared… a lot.

“Ian?”

I nodded once.

“Definitely not,” he chuckled. “It’d be easier if he did, though.”

“Ew,” I snickered, poking him in the side of the leg with my toes. “Hey, that’s not nice!”

Grabbing my ankle, he put it back in place, then laid his palm on my thigh. “He actually likes you.”

Smiling, I threw the blanket back and moved to straddle his lap. Draping my arms on his shoulders, I laced my fingers together behind his neck. He rested his palms on my hips, shifting on the sofa. His semi-erect cock pressed into my mound.

“Wow, my brother-in-law liking you makes you want to straddle me?” He cocked a brow.

Huffing playfully, I squinted. “Nooo, though I have to admit, it makes me feel a little less nervous.”

“Since when do you get nervous about anything?”

Bobbing my head back and forth in thought, I weighed my response. “There are a few things in life that make me a little nervous. Are you forgetting, I’m human?”

Amusement painted his expression again. “What makes you nervous?”

“Well, for starters, him. I don’t want to ever do anything to disappoint him or anyone in your family.”

“And why is that?” The smile diminished from his face, and his grip tightened on my sides.

I circled the back of his neck with my fingernails. “Because I like y— whatever this is between us.”

“That’s my dick.”

I snorted before becoming serious. “I know you’re reluctant about things, but I’m okay with friends with benefits if you’re okay being friends.” Playfully looking sideways at him, I moved my nails to his shoulders, pressing them into him slightly.

“Gia—”

“You worry too much, Mr. Prescott.” I wiggled back and forth on his lap.

“Because you make me fucking crazy.” He peered deeper into my gaze. “Being with you, like this, and when we’re at work, makes me feel pretty violent at times. I want to kill anyone who touches you. It isn’t really jealousy. I just want them to know you’re—” his voice trailed off, his eyes glazing over in lust.
