“No, Ariel, I did it for us.”

That’s what I’ve been missing, someone to share beautiful moments with. I throw my arms around his neck and kiss him with everything I have, with everything I am.

“Thank you.” I can barely choke the words out, I’m feeling so emotional and overwhelmed by his thoughtfulness.

A valet helps us out of the car and after a quick check-in at the front desk, we’re finally alone in our bedroom.

“I hope you like it,” he says, taking my face in his large hands, preparing my mouth for his.

“I freaking love it,” I say, the words eagerly leaving my lips.

His hands tighten in my hair, seeking closer contact, until he suddenly stops.

“My beauty,” he murmurs, his lips still close to mine. “Let’s continue this in that bed, it’s big enough to be our playground for the weekend.”

I want to protest, I swear, but he’s right. After the anticipation and the excitement, now I want to take it slowly. Our time together has just begun.

His gaze becomes scorching as he crosses the room in a couple of strides, even with me in his arms. I wrap my legs around his narrow waist and let him guide us to the waiting bed.

Lancelot sits while I straddle him, desperate to touch him, to undo his shirt buttons and pull it off over his head.

“Wait a minute.”

“What’s happened?” I ask, frustrated that he’s pressed pause.

“I’m wearing cufflinks,” he replies, taking care of the problem immediately.

“You are a killer, Suit,” I growl and in response I get a shower of playful kisses all over my face.

“Now I’m going to prove otherwise.”

With an ease that amazes me, Lancelot flips us around and puts my body under his. The rest of our clothes are quickly discarded, before he scoops up one of my legs with his arm, thus opening me to receive him.

“I hope you’re ready.”

“I was born ready,” I answer and finally, his body enters mine.

Chapter 22

“Wake up, Ariel.” His hoarse voice seems as if it’s coming from another dimension. “There’s someplace I want to take you.”

I manage to open an eye. He’s sitting on the bed, leaning over me to trail his lips along my jaw.

“I don’t want to,” I wail. “You wore me out last night, I’m tired.”
