“So, you’re going to marry me just for the ring?”

“Sure,” I answer, shrugging. “And for your hot body.”

I don’t care about the ring and he knows it.

He’s the man I’ve idealized for eons, the same man who won me over with sweet words and good banter.

And he’s also the man I’ve learned to love these last few months. He’s my dream come true.

My medieval knight who loves origami and wearing fancy suits.

With him I smile broadly, laugh louder and dream bigger.

Lancelot lifts me up, so I curl my legs around his waist. He’s ready for me, his erection caresses my folds, wet and willing.

“In sickness and in health?” he whispers.

“I proved to be a good nurse, didn’t I?”

He whispers in my ear that I’m not just good, I’m the very best. His breath caresses me and, although the water is heated, I get goosebumps.

“For richer, for poorer?”

“Lancelot, I’ve lived on the street. We could live in a tent under a bridge and it would still feel like a palace.”

“I promise you won’t have to be afraid of anything anymore.”

I tell him that I know it already, that I don’t care about money or what he can offer me, that I just want to become an old lady by his side.

“You will be the mother of my children.”

“Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, there’s plenty of time for that. I’m a spring bird, ya know.”

He laughs, telling me between kisses that he can be quite convincing.

“Will you love me forever?” he whispers as his hard erection prepares to fill my body.

“Forever,” I answer breathlessly.

“Will you also promise me obedience?” At last he gives me what I want and I can only gasp in return.

He stays still, very still. He knows what he’s doing. He wants me to ask for more.

I ask for everything.

“Don’t be a bully, Lancelot.”

He laughs and his hoarse laugh vibrates in his chest. I love it. I want to see him like this always, relaxed and calm.

“You’re going to marry me,” he growls just as he starts to move.

“Yes,” I say breathlessly. “But don’t think for a moment you’re on safe ground yet. I still want to see you down on your bended knee tonight during dinner.”

“And putting the ring on your finger,” he adds.

“And putting the ring on my finger, don’t forget that.”

“And people dare to say that women are all about the romance.”
