She rubs one of the napkins up and down my stomach. Her eyebrows furrow. “I don’t think this is working. But you have nice abs.”

Her bluntness catches me completely off-guard and makes me laugh.

“Uh, thanks.”

She sets the napkins back down. “I guess I’ll stop feeling you up now.”

“Hey, I’m not complaining,” I reply with a smile.

She looks up at me—her blue eyes lined with dark shadow and liner. Her tongue runs over her dark red-painted lips. The look on her face shows she’s looking to get into some trouble.

I wonder if I could be that trouble.

Before I can speak again, she asks, “Why don’t you let me buy you some more drinks? Since a lot of those spilled.”

“Oh, you don’t have to do that. The guys at my table are already pretty drunk. They probably won’t even notice.”

“Are you sure?” I feel bad.

“Don’t worry about it. Really. It’s fine. Let’s just say you owe me one,” I say with a wink. The moment I say it, I realize it came out wrong. “Sorry, that sounded super creepy.”

She laughs. “Maybe a little. But yeah, I guess I’ll owe you one.”

“I’m Dylan.”

“Leah,” she replies. “I guess I should get back to my friend.”

“Yeah, me too.”

She turns around to walk away, and I get a better look at her. And damn. That ass of hers is certainly something to see. In the skinny jeans she’s wearing, it looks like a fucking juicy peach.

When I manage to pull my eyes away from her backside, I see all of her tattoos. They’re up and down her arms and disappear under her tank top. By the looks of it, I’m guessing her back and shoulders are covered too. I probably should have noticed them before, but between her eyes and her ass, I was pretty distracted.

I walk back to my table where the guys are not-so-patiently waiting.

“Damn, dude. What took you so long?” Jamie asks. Taking one of the beers, he asks, “Did you drink some of this on the way back?”

“Uh, no. Sorry. I spilled some.”

“You spilled some?” Adam asks. “Are you a toddler?”

Jack sips his own beer. “I’m guessing he was distracted by something cute.”

I smile. “Something like that.”

Adam gasps. “Who is she?”

I consider not telling, but I know these assholes, and I know they’ll just make a huge scene.

I look around for my new cute friend until I finally spot her at a corner table by the dart boards. She’s with a brunette who has her back to me.

I point her out, and all the guys look at her.

Jamie says, “Dude, she is sexy…also a little scary.

Adam agrees. “Yeah. I’m pretty sure she could kick your ass all over this bar.”

I reply with. “A girl that cute? I may just let her kick it.”
