Chapter Twenty-two

Aiden

“Oh, you did not just say that,” Romy scolds with her eyes wide and her finger pointed at me.

“Hey, I’m just being honest,” I begin, but she cuts me off.

“Aiden Montgomery, you’re saying you liked Star Wars Episodes 1-3?!” Her voice is a few octaves higher than usual.

“Romy, I didn’t say they were my favorite movies ever, and clearly 4-6 are way better. I’m just saying that I don’t think they deserve as much hate as I always get,” I try to defend.

She still looks as though I’ve just kicked her puppy.

She points her finger at me again. “Just because your face looks like that doesn’t mean it can say crazy things.”

“You think my face looks good?” I smile and wiggle my eyebrows up and down.

“Yes, but that’s not the point, Aiden.”

“What is the point?”

“Haven’t you been listening?” She shrieks. “The first three Star Wars movies are awful!”

Reaching for the remote, she declares, “That’s it. We are going to watch the original three just so that maybe you can come to your senses.”

I hold my hands up in defeat. “Okay, okay. Whatever you want.”

“Oh, soon you will agree with me, Mr. Montgomery.”

My dick twitches hearing her call me that. After she called me that when she was naked, it’s firmly fixed in my brain. When we go home, she might just have to forever call me Aiden—if she doesn’t want me to bend her over her desk.

I glance at the clock. “So, you want to start a Star Wars marathon at almost nine at night?”

“Sir, we will stay up all damn night until you learn your lesson.”

She flips through the TV menu until she comes to the search engine. She types in the title, and it pops up on the screen.

Now, my voice is the one that goes up a couple of notches. “Twelve dollars to rent a movie?!”

She glares at me. “Take it out of my paycheck.”

“You know I’m not going to do that,” I say. “Just commenting on the resort being money-hungry.”

I really don’t care about the price, but it’s a little cute watching her get all worked up—especially over something nerdy like Star Wars. The truth is that I would pay a hundred dollars for it just to make her happy.

Besides, we’ve had a long day, and it'll be nice to relax.

We were good students today and made it to all of our classes, and afterward, there was a dinner they put on for everyone that we went to. Mingling with other people you don’t know is something we typically both avoid, but a prime rib dinner was a little hard to turn down.

We got a couple of side-eyed looks from people questioning exactly what our relationship was, but when we kept everything 100% professional, everyone seemed to chill out. Well, it was professional until I felt Romy running her hand up my thigh until she got to the prize she was looking for.

Thank the lord for long white tablecloths that hid our activities from prying eyes.

Romy charmed everyone with her charm and wit. She may think that she’s awkward, but it didn’t show tonight—all while teasing me under the table.

After dinner, I immediately brought her back upstairs to teach her a dirty little lesson. I love how frisky she is.

We only have two more days in paradise, and I’d be lying if I said I was ready for it to end. I’ve been savoring every second we’ve had together because I know when we go home, it all goes away.
