Page 126 of Hell Breaks Loose

“Unless you need—” Gav starts.

“I’ll tell you exactly what I need,” I cut him off, letting the fuzzy robe slip from my shoulders. “That shower was the last time I want to be alone for a while.”

And I needed it. The hot water. A good old-fashioned sob.

Not out of self-pity. Just…

Venting.

Flushing out the toxic events of the past twenty-four hours. Purging the anger and fear that poisoned me nonstop for days.

Now, I just want to be held. And stuff.

Who am I kidding?

Gazing back over my shoulder, I can’t keep the smile from my lips as Gavin crawls across the queen-sized bed toward me, locking me with one of those skin-tingling, tummy-flipping stares. The guy just knows how to fucking smolder.

And set a fire in my core.

It doesn’t hurt that Tell is watching from the doorway, outlined in backlight, looking like a Greek statue. Or a magazine model.

Only he’s more sexy than some face on a page. He’s kind. Funny. So smart.

And he’s mine. He owns a unique piece of my heart.

And he’s fought so hard for me.

Just like Gavin. Just like…

No. Not tonight. It’s enough to know that he’s alive, my Evan. Even if there is something terribly wrong with him.

And as always, Gavin can read my mind.

“He’s alive. That’s what’s most important.”

“I know.”

“We’ll get him back.”

“We will.”

Light stubble tickles the nape of my neck right before Gavin’s lips connect with goosebumps spreading like ripples across a pond on my flesh. It’s a tremor before the earthquake starts.

Closing my eyes, I let my head fall back, let the robe fall away completely.

A presence in front of me lets me know Tell is there, pulling me to my feet. Gavin’s behind me next, the heat of their chests radiating over me, driving away the cold worry of our lives.

Fingertips start at my shoulders, cascading chills down my arms.

Palms start at my thighs, arcing up my hips.

“I love you Hella,” Tell breathes into my mouth, right before our lips connect. My tongue seeks out, finding his, branding him as he brands me with scalding passion.

“We were lost without you,” Gavin rumbles into my neck, the searing brand of his pecs pressing into my back. “I never want to feel that way again.”

“I just wanna feel this way…” Tell trails his thumbs over my nipples, circling so sensuously, tweaking each one before cupping me, massaging the fullness of my heavy breasts.

“You can feel anything you want,” I moan, tipping my head back against Gavin’s shoulder.
