My orgasm hit me at full force. There was no slow climb or buildup as he fucked me, instead it slammed into me, my body tensing as my cries rang out in the room. My body pulsed with each shockwave of pleasure, his finger never leaving my sensitive clit as he coaxed me through another as he came, nose pressed against my skin, breathing me in like he would never get enough.
As we came down from our high and his knot released us, he pulled me on top of him as he spread out on the couch. My fingers danced over the intricate artwork on his arm, my body and mind both so relaxed that there was no thoughts or need to move, only satiated calm.
“I love you,” I whispered before placing a kiss on his pec. His purr strengthened as he put a kiss on my head, arms holding me tight as if he couldn’t bear to let me go.
“I’ve loved you the moment I saw you, Avery,” he said simply. His hands ghosted up and down my spine, my eyes fluttering closed as I soaked in the sensation.
I loved my pack. There was always someone around or something going on. But I also loved moments like this. Just me and my mate, soaking in each other’s scents and the feel of his body on mine, no interruptions.
Now that my biggest work obstacle was over, I would have to work on finding a better balance. This moment with Mason was a huge reminder that I needed to stop hiding in work and live in the moment.
Just as I was drifting off to sleep, a wave of nausea hit me. I pushed off of Mason, glad we weren’t knotted, before stumbling down the hall. The alpha was on my heels but I shut the door between us before falling in front of the toilet.
I fought to keep my lunch down, but failed in the end.
Twenty minutes later, I pushed myself off the cool tile and cleaned up, feeling exhausted, but my stomach had finally settled. I shrugged on my bathrobe, glad I left it in here.
When I pushed open the door, the entire pack was waiting for me, looks of anxiety and excitement on their faces.
Mason handed me a bottle of water while Arden passed over a small brown bag. I opened it up, confused until I saw the pregnancy test waiting.
“I just had a feeling that you’d need it, your scent changed over the past few days and I couldn't place why. Now, I think I know.”
My hands shook as I took it, once again closing the door between us. There were some things that needed to remain private.
I was so nervous I barely managed to pee on the stick. The moment it was capped and my hands were washed, I opened the door, leaving it resting on the sink.
“I’m freaking out,” I admitted, my hands fumbling with my bathrobe.
“Same,” Ford laughed, standing up and pacing. “This is it, boys. We’re going to be dads.”
“We don’t know that yet,” Cohen reasoned, but even he looked downright giddy.
A timer went off and Arden stood.
“Time to check it,” he said gently. I stopped fidgeting and took a breath, walking slowly back to the counter and picking up the test. The lines were stark and obvious, there was no second guessing.
“The anticipation is killing me, Avery,” Ford protested. “What is it?”
I turned around, all the nerves falling away as I took in my pack.
“I’m pregnant.”
I don’t know who moved first, but loud yells were followed by my mates crushing me in a group hug. There was no hesitation or running away, they were embracing this new step in our life.
As they pulled away one of my hands drifted to my stomach and I blinked away tears.
“I’m going to be a mom.”

Six Months Later
As we drove up to Whitaker Ranch, following the road past the main house and through to our property, I could see that they were finally done.
The contractor had called me this morning to tell me that they had finished, all the payments were finalized, and I just had to come in for a bit of paperwork.
I was too excited to wait to see it, though, so I came here first. The office could wait.
