Tyler found the ten-foot-tall cliffs and was standing near the edge when Lana emerged from the woods. She was not happy to see him. She told him to leave. He didn’t. Instead, he shoved her off the cliff. He immediately jumped in to save her. I never included that part in the book because it felt like a special moment that I wanted it to be Lana’s memory and not the world’s.

Despite pushing her off the cliff, Lana and Tyler—and by proxy Ginger—became friends. Then eighteen years after Tyler died and Mylan was cast to play him, Lana, Ginger, Eloise, Bruno, and Mylan all came out here to jump and swim.

I didn’t know that Lana had been afraid to jump off that cliff. But it was Mylan who convinced her to take the leap again.

It’s strange how life comes full circle sometimes. How important this cliff was to my brother and Lana, and now to Mylan and Lana.

And me because this cliff had always been a sad memory for me. Because I used to come here all the time with Lana, Tyler, and Ginger. I hadn’t been back since before he died. Now, this cliff can be a happy memory once again.

We check into the hotel first—the same one I stayed in while in town during the filming for Tyler’s Team because I didn’t want to stay with my parents who would have ignored me the entire time. It’s the same hotel Jensen stayed in, down the hall from me. Who I'd see almost every morning before we left for set. Who I avoided as much as he avoided me.

I never let myself think about what it could have been like to be with him all those years ago. Life doesn’t work like that. Regrets are useless because you can’t do anything about it once it’s done and over with. It’s all about redemption and how you live your life going forward.

This time, we book a room together. We barely have time to freshen up and change before we’re back in the car heading to the cliffs for the ceremony.

It's a simple wedding. No decorations. No chairs. No unnecessary guests.

Gram, Pa, Mylan’s mother Marie, Ginger, Bruno, Jensen, me, Eloise, and Kelly.

Rey Michaelson is here too. Rey, Jensen, and Mylan have been rekindling their friendship over the past nine months. Rey and Mylan also just booked a movie together. Not only Rey’s first movie in nearly five years, but Mylan’s too.

We stop in front of Rey who’s holding hands with a little girl.

“Hey man,” Jensen says, approaching him. They do the silly handshake greeting like they did at the photoshoot. “Good to see you again.”

Jensen leans down with his hands on his knees.

“This must be Addy.”

“My name is Adeline. Only my dad can call me Addy,” she says, mean mugging him.

Jensen holds up his hands in defense, and I laugh. The little girl’s bright blue eyes move to me and widen.

“Are you a fairy princess?”

I look down at my dress. It's light purple with short puff sleeves and a shirred waist. I'm also wearing a crown of lilies, like all the ladies here—Lana’s idea since it’s her favorite flower—and my hair is styled in big curls around my face.

Jensen stands up from where he was crouched in front of the little girl and takes my hand, bringing it up to his lips to kiss my knuckles.

“She’s not a princess. She’s a queen.”

The little girl giggles. “You’re pretty.”

“Well, since I’m a queen, that means you can be my princess,” I say. She smiles bigger than her tiny face can allow and smashes her tiny face into Rey’s leg, wrapping her equally tiny arms around his thigh.

Rey places his big palm on top of her curly red hair. Adeline has Rey’s big blue eyes, but that’s where the similarities end. Rey’s light brown hair is straight. His skin tone is tanner compared to Adeline’s porcelain pale shade.

Rey has been Adeline’s guardian for a little over five years now. He’s the only parent she’s ever known.

The media reported that he took over custody of his niece, but he rarely goes out in public with her. The paparazzi are vultures about this part of his life and go feral anytime she’s with him. Which is why seeing her here now is surprising.

“Come on, Addy,” Rey says and starts walking with her still attached to his leg.

They stop next to Eloise and Kelly. Rey hands over Adeline and she grabs both of their hands. Eloise has been getting a lot of photography jobs in New York lately, bringing Kelly with her, and the two stay at Rey’s penthouse. They’ve all become good friends. They even babysat for him a few times while he tries to find a new nanny.

I greet Bruno and Ginger. Ginger is already crying, and Bruno has his big arm around her shoulder. It’s the hormones. Ginger and Bruno are having a baby. Turns out, the reason she wasn’t drinking a lot at their wedding was because they were trying to get pregnant and with Ginger being in her forties and also having PCOS, their chances of conceiving were slim.

But they did it and Ginger is six months along.
