Tammy’s eyes brightened with interest. “Are they as big and gorgeous as you are? ‘Cause I might be free to help out too.”
Well, that was bold.
Before he could think of how to answer, a gentleman in a suit stopped by, his hand out to Hale for a shake. “Mister Foster,” he dropped his hand down after they finished, “I hope Tammy is answering all of your questions and that of Missus Foster as well.”
“Everything’s great. Thank you. It’s a load off my mind to get some of this furniture ordered and we’ll come back when we see how everything fits so far.”
Something off to the side caught his interest. A light flare from the lens of one of the security cameras as if it had been readjusted to or away from something.
Before he could pose the question, he heard the distinct swish of sound from the automatic doors at the front of the store. And he saw the sunlight streaming through the doors reflect off several mirrored surfaces.
It reminded him of the smile she’d given him when he’d placed his grandmother’s diamond ring on her hand.
