Page 61 of Defending Casey

Needing each other.

Having each other.

“Casey.”

“Hmm?”

He took in a sharp breath as her hand slid between his legs and her fingers-

“Fuck me.”

Casey’s hand stilled, her palm cupping him, and her chin tipped up so she could look right into his face. “Is that physically possible?”

He stared at her, his chest moving, air pulling into his lungs. “You’ve got my mind spinning in circles, Casey.”

Hale saw the pretty flush in her cheeks.

“I’m not even touching your mind.” To illustrate that fact, she gripped him tighter.

With both hands.

“I guess this is what they mean when they say a man thinks with his-”

He closed the distance between them. His hands gripping her arms and pulling her against him.

Hale grunted as the sudden crush of their bodies against each other trapped her hand between them. Casey hadn’t made a move to release him from her grasp. Although it gave him a twinge of pain, the sensation rode the edge of pleasure.

“Let me in, Casey,” he grumbled the words against her lips while he kissed her like he wanted to crawl inside of her. “Let me love you again.”

* * *

He feltlike heaven in her hands. Hale.

How lucky she was to have fallen for him… twice.

Every movement of her skin against his made him thicken and swell increasing the power she felt coursing through her veins.

Her.

Casey Jones.

Named after a famous American figure who died in a train wreck.

Could it be that her life was finally on the right track?

Was this moment in time that new beginning she had always hoped for?

Hale captured her face in his hands, and he held her so gently it was hard to remember that he’d spent ten years of his life using those hands to fight and sometimes kill.

She finally felt like they could fight for their love with that kind of devotion. Casey had let fear come between them.

But that was behind them.

And what she had in front of her was-

“Forever.”

Hale pulled a breath into his lungs and laid his forehead against hers. “Say it again, Case. Please.”
