That was the last thing Bane said. Soon, his soft, deep breathing filled the quietness of the room. Sometime in the night, the wind picked up. The gentle tapping of sand blowing against the west side windows finally lulled her to sleep.
Chapter Ten
Bane rode to a stop in front of Havlin Motorcycles Parts and toed the kickstand of his Harley. Once securely parked, he patted Daisy's leg. She'd held her own during the ride.
Without having to tell her, she'd wrapped herself against his back and held on tight.
She slid off the back seat and wiggled her butt, adjusting her tight shorts. "My legs are vibrating."
If he ever took her on a longer ride at higher speeds, she'd need to wear jeans. He took in her thighs. Though he wasn't going to complain about the warmth his backside got from having her on the back of his motorcycle.
He stood and moved to the back of the bike to unstrap her bag. "Are you sore?"
"Am I...?" She looked behind her and then moved closer to him. "Did you really ask me that?"
"We fucked a lot, babe." His gaze intensified. "Hard."
Warmth flooded her neck, and her insides melted, as was their habit over the last twenty-four hours whenever Bane opened his mouth or touched her. "I'm fine."
"The ride wasn't too much?"
She shook her head. "I liked riding on the motorcycle."
A sense of pride flashed in his gaze, and he leaned down and kissed her before handing her bag to her. "I'll be here when you get off work. Just come on over. I'll show you around, and then we can head home."
He used the term home as if they shared a dwelling. Which, technically, they did. But they were neighbors.
"Okay." She rocked to her tiptoes and kissed him again before she chickened out. "Thanks for the ride."
She walked toward the pool.
"Babe?"
She turned around. "Yeah?"
"You kiss me when you want to kiss me. Don't let where we're at or who is around stop you from doing what you want to do. Got it?"
