Chapter 32
Nicole
––––––––
THE LIGHTS WENT OUTas Priest tied the hand towel over her eyes. Nicole reached behind her, patting his bare hip.
"I can't see." She moved to turn to him, and he grunted, holding her hips to keep her facing away from him.
"Stand here." His hands left her body, and she was alone.
"Where are you going?"
"Relax," he said from somewhere in front of her.
He'd taken her out of the bedroom after her shower and brought her to the living room. With him, she never knew what he planned or what he wanted. A lot of times—like now—she was out of her element and had to rely on him solely.
"Take one step toward me."
"How can I do that when I don't know where you are?" She rubbed the goosebumps off her bare arms. "I can't see you."
"Focus on my voice."
She shivered. The sun must've gone down because there was a chill in the room.
"You haven't moved."
She slid her foot along the floor, deemed it safe, and she wasn't going to hit her shin on any of the furniture and took a step. "This is scary, Michael."
"Trust me."
"I do."
"Then find me." He paused. "Listen and come to me."
Her senses on high alert. She couldn't figure out where he was or her location in the room. Was the couch in front of her, or was she facing the windows or the wall?
"You know what's here for you when you reach me."
She exhaled slowly. Before he'd put on the blindfold, he was naked, as was she.
"Are you getting off on this." She reached up, wanting to remove the thin towel and see for herself.
"Don't remove it." His gruff voice stopped her.
"Keep talking." She toed the area, realizing she was extra cautious without him by her side and unable to see.
"Two steps and turn a little to your left."
"That's too hard." Frustrated, she reached out with her hands, leaning forward, and found the back of the couch. "I'm going to hurt myself."
"You're cheating. Don't use your hands."
"I can't do it."
"Then, crawl."
"I'm not going to crawl."
