Priest hesitated. Had Coveck gained the information on where to find Nicole?

Between his war with Coveck, keeping the supply line going on the parts deliveries, and overseeing Tarkio's investments with the marijuana plots, he'd hit one dead-end after another in his search to find a way to contact Nicole.

Doubt fled his headspace. Coveck was bullshitting, trying to save his life.

"An address for your life." He threw out the bargaining chip in case he was wrong. "I'll let you walk out if you hand over Nicole's location."

"Why the hell would I do that?" Coveck laughed deeply.

He wasn't wrong. Without hesitation, he squeezed the trigger.

Poofff.

Coveck hit the floor. A hole in the middle of his forehead had killed him mid-laugh.

The suppressor had done its job. Nobody was running into the room.

Double-checking to make sure Coveck wasn't telling the truth about knowing Nicole's location, he checked all the man's pockets for a slip of paper or a clue on where Nicole was staying.

The only information he had was the location of where he'd dropped Nicole off and gave her the freedom to go the rest of the way on her own.

He should never have let her leave his sight until he knew exactly where she was going.

Coming up empty, he pocketed the weapon. He searched the room, wiping down the door handles with the handkerchief in his pocket. When everything was clean of his prints, he peered out into the hallway and found Frank, motioning for him.

Not wasting any time, he strode toward his MC brother. Lost in what happened back in the room, he trusted Frank to get him out of the casino.

Outside, Frank jogged beside him. "Do you still want no cleanup?"

"Leave him for the casino. They can hide their crimes and wipe mine clean." He arrived at his Harley. "The girls?"

"Should be almost back at the clubhouse by now."

"Let's ride." He threw his leg over the bike. "We'll stop at the gas station across town and buy a six-pack of beer. We need to make sure we leave a trail to cover our tracks."

"Right behind you."

He started the engine and rode away. His clubhouse was compromised with his new guests, and he needed to get the girls somewhere and make sure his club stayed safe from any investigations.

Then, he needed to find Nicole.
