Chapter 31

"Everybody spread outand look for Tyr." Peer rushed through the crowd, holding tightly to Coco's hand.

He wasn't going to let go of her. His family belonged together, and as soon as he found Tyr, they'd leave for Norway the soonest he could get them a flight.

"Holly," he yelled, looking behind the row of motorcycles.

"Tyr!" Coco pulled on his arm in her frantic search.

He stopped Aron. "Have you seen Holly?"

"Looking for her." Aron yelled at Elling to take a crew on the streets. "We'll find your son."

Taking Coco with him, he jogged to the far gate at the end of the alley. "Dag, have you seen Holly or Tyr?"

"Nei." Dag stood from his motorcycle. "What's going on?"

"We can't find them." His gaze darted around. "Have you seen Kelli tonight?"

"Your ex-girlfriend?" Dag shook his head. "Nei. Unless she unlocked the unmanned gate."

Kelli wouldn't have access to unlocking it from the outside. His jaw tensed. Though, Holly would be able to open it from the inside and go out.

Coco grabbed him. "Call her."

"I don't have Kelli's number."

She patted the front of him. "On your phone. She called you several months ago. Her number should still be in there."

His chest tightened. If Kelli wasn't involved, he didn't want to bring her in. She'd use losing Tyr against him. He had to find his son.

"I'm going to ride around the block. Holly couldn't have gotten far with him." He led her to the door of the clubhouse. "Go inside. Don't move."

"I need to look for Tyr." She held on to him. "You go. I'll keep asking around to see if anyone knows where they went."

Peer jogged to his motorcycle. Pure panic flowed through him. He couldn't lose his son.

He put his helmet on and started the engine. Toeing the kickstand, he popped it into gear when a crowd of Slag members stepped in front of him.

Scanning their faces, he recognized the urgency directed at him. He shut off his motorcycle.

"What?" he shouted.

"We found him." Brage laid his hand on his shoulder. "Come on."

He jumped off his bike and followed Brage inside the clubhouse. At the sight of Coco holding his son, he lost all strength in his legs and stopped. The sudden relief weakened him.

One minute he was far away from them, the next, he had them both in his arms, consoling Coco and reassuring himself that Tyr was in his arms, healthy, happy, and clueless at the fear that had swept through him and Coco, threatening to disrupt their entire world.

"He's safe," he whispered, kissing Coco's forehead.

She wasn't letting go of Tyr. He had to be satisfied with holding on to them both.

"I was running through the back hallway and heard his giggles." She sniffed, smiling up at him. "Someone put the wagon upstairs, and Holly couldn't carry it and Tyr downstairs, so she rolled him around the upstairs and pretended the dresser in the community room was a gas pump, so he could fill up the wagon."

It no longer mattered what kept Tyr from their view because there was no danger. There was no threat.

Holly approached them; her eyelashes spiked from the tears she'd shed from the obvious upset. He shifted, keeping his arm around Coco and said, "Sorry, we threw up the alarm."
