"Dude, I don't have anything here that Slag Motorcycle Club would want."
"Then, humor me. Open the safe."
"That's not going to happen."
Peer caught the Blues' member listening to the conversation and taking a step back. He knew the safe was in another part of the house by the man's need to protect his investments.
"Where is it?" he asked, taking the pressure off Roar.
The man held up his hands. "I don't know what you're talking about. I ain't got nothing, man."
Roar ordered the leader to the hallway. When both Blues' members were pushed together, Peer felt better about the job.
"Let's make this simple before the girls get too uncomfortable." Roar stepped forward. "Jewel was especially concerned about the trouble she would get in when she rounded up the other women in your corral."
"You don't have my girls." Jones narrowed his gaze and tilted his head. "You can't touch them."
"Can't we?" Roar held out his hand.
Brage handed Roar a phone. Roar flipped it around, showing Jones the screen.
"It wasn't hard to gather seven of the women since you put them on the corners during the day. They didn't want to cause a scene." Roar handed the phone back to Brage. "We'll take the money, and you can have your girls back."
"You'll leave me with nothing." Jones glanced at the other Blues' member. "I'll give you half."
Roar gave a slight shake of his head. " I want it all."
Peer moved behind Jones, following him upstairs and to a bare bedroom. The man opened the closet and lifted the floorboards up.
Five minutes later, Slag Motorcycle Club walked out with almost two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. Out on the street, they made a quick exit and rode away. The next shipment to Norway would be cushioned and welcomed.
The threat of having the girls belonging to Jones in their custody was enough for the Blues' leader to hand over his security money. Elling's photoshopped picture wasn't even questioned by Jones. It was easy enough to take photos of each girl as she worked on the street and make a collage with all of them in the same picture, pretending that Slag had them in their possession.
Back behind the gate in the alley between the clubhouse and The Fire Ring, Peer got off his motorcycle and looked over to where Coco had parked earlier. Her car was gone.
He checked his phone for any messages and the time. They'd only been gone an hour and twenty minutes. Coco must've taken Tyr home.
Knowing he needed to stick around and take care of the bounty Slag earned today, he joined the others to celebrate their winnings.
