He nodded, pulling out the business card from his back pocket. Agent Campbell had given him his contact information in case he wanted to talk last week and continued to harass him every time he left the Slag property.

"Wait." Roar's mouth tightened. "Don't meet with him yet."

"How are we going to find out what he has on us?"

Roar's gaze intensified. "Give me a minute."

He turned one of the chairs around and straddled the seat, putting his elbows on the back. It wasn't his place to question what his president wanted him to do. He had his opinion of what he'd like to happen, and he'd already spoken about his concerns. Whatever Roar decided; he'd honor his decision.

Brage entered the room, eating a piece of toast, and glanced at Elling and Roar. "What's up?"

"I was going to send Elling to Campbell, set up a meeting, and find out what the agent has on Slag." Roar grimaced. "I hate to give him any attention. I think that looks weak on our part."

Brage dipped his chin. "Campbell has approached at least eight of us, looking for the weakest link. Each time, we're at risk. He's gathering information. Even no-info gives him something. Something we won't know until it's too late and he's slapping handcuffs on us."

Elling remained quiet, letting the two of them talk. He agreed with Brage. Even when he refused to acknowledge what the agent was saying spoke volumes.

"I don't like that he's out there and we don’t know how many other Feds he's in contact with or how big of a case they're compiling. He could be the spokesman, while there are twenty others surrounding the club at any given time." Brage put the last bite in his mouth. "How do we find out how deep they are in the investigation? Is Campbell the hound sent to see if they have enough interest in building a case against us or is it past that point and everything is going to hell?"

Roar stepped between Elling and Brage and leaned against the edge of the table. "We've had men out running security for the club every night. Besides Campbell, they haven't noticed anyone else. Moroad Motorcycle Club has eased back since we last bargained with them. Brikken MC is busy protecting their setup and hasn't sent any men our way or up to Seattle. Bantorus Motorcycle Club tightened everything down, we can't even get into Pitnam without gunfire. I have to believe Agent Campbell is here sniffing around because they don't have enough proof to have a case against us. That's why he's desperate for one of us to open our mouth."

Sparked with an idea, Elling squeezed the rungs on the back of the chair. "I could find out if there are more agents hanging around."

"How?" asked Roar.

"I can check in at the hotel and watch his room. They're not going to meet out on the street in front of us, but Campbell is staying at Colman Hotel. If there are Feds in the area on his team, they'll meet there." Elling met Roar's gaze. "I'll find out what room he's in and stay in one close by. He wouldn't even have to know I was there, or we can let him know and shake him up a bit. Your call."

Roar raised his brows and looked to Brage. "The idea is better than anything we've come up with yet."

"Agree." Brage hooked his thumbs in his pockets. "You'll have to wait until tomorrow to check in."

He shook his head and stood. "I can get in tonight."

"I don't think the Colman Hotel works like that. They usually have early check-in if you don't have a room reserved," said Roar.

"I can get in." He noted the time on his phone. It was almost eight o'clock. "I'll be back in a couple of days, and we can go from there off of what I learn."

"Call if you run into trouble," said Brage.

"Ja." He looked away from them and gritted his teeth.

Slipping the cell into his pocket, he walked out of the room. He'd use the Brikken woman to get close to Campbell. It wouldn't be hard. Unless she called the cops when he stepped inside the hotel.
