Roar undid her other boot while she sat down and laced the one on. Holding her foot up, she admired the look. "It fits perfect."

All decked out in her new gear, she handed her phone to Coco. "Take a picture of us."

"Why don't I do it outside by his motorcycle?" said Coco.

"Good idea." She peered up at Roar. "Ready?"

"Ja." Roar walked her out.

She posed against him and then shoved her phone in her jacket pocket, finding a zipper to close. Climbing up on the back of the Harley, she waved to Coco and Elling, who'd arrived. She hugged Roar's middle, feeling awesome in her new gear, and settled in for the three-hour ride to Seattle.

Because of the distance, Roar wanted to spend the night at his father's clubhouse. It was her first overnight trip with him, and she couldn't wait to find out more about his family.
