"Five for me." Lizzy smiled. "Coco was the one who trained me."
"You're both used to serving meals?" Roar continued looking at them both.
Surprised that he wasn't writing anything down, Lizzy nodded. "We worked full-time, serving breakfast, lunch, and an early dinner."
"What do you know about alcoholic drinks?" he asked.
Her pulse throbbed. She was afraid of that question. A thirty-year-old woman should know a lot about the different kinds of drinks that were popular. While she enjoyed the occasional glass of wine at home, she had no time to hang out in bars.
"It would depend on what you are hiring us for." Coco shifted enough her arm brushed Lizzy for support. "We're both used to carrying trays piled with plates and drinks and keeping orders separated and delivered in a timely manner."
"While we don't have any experience making drinks, we can certainly serve them." Lizzy moistened her lips. "And, we can make customers happy to spend their money."
God, why had she said that? She inhaled slowly to keep him from noticing her nervousness.
Roar studied them both. "You two are friends."
"Yes," they said together.
Lizzy smiled at Coco, relaxing at having support beside her. Today would've been awful without her friend. If alone, she would've taken one look at the man in front of her and ran out the door.
"We're roommates, too." Coco pointed toward the window. "We rent a house across the street, so we're never late to work."
Good point. Lizzy skin cooled a degree. She should've thought of that bonus herself. If she were the owner of a bar, she would like knowing her employees were close.
"Slag Motorcycle Club owns the bar. It'll be open to the public and will be operated like any other bar you'd find in the area. We'll offer a place for people to drink and play pool. Music will come from a machine. There will be a menu available. Mostly appetizers and a burger, not a full meal. We'll require the female's working here to wear a uniform of shorts and a tank top. All the important parts of your body will be covered, and you can wear sneakers for comfort because I expect anyone working for me to work hard. The hours will be from seven to two o'clock with a half hour lunch and a fifteen-minute break every two hours." Roar looked at them both for several seconds.
Lizzy held her breath, hoping he'd quickly tell her they got the job. She could work in any conditions if the pay were right.
"There will be five women working every evening from Tuesday through Saturday. We're closed on Sundays and Mondays. You'll get a week of vacation after a year of working. Each year after that adds one more day. Sick days can't be abused, or you'll lose your job," said Roar.
Her excitement built. The hours were great, the benefits even better than what she had working for Mr. Reeves.
"You'll receive fifteen dollars an hour, and you'll keep your own tips." Roar lowered his brows. "Any questions?"
"We got the job?" asked Coco.
Please say yes. She needed this job.
He nodded. "We'll open next Tuesday. If you can come in sometime over the weekend to pick up your uniforms, I'll make sure someone is here to give them to you. I'll need your sizes."
"I wear a size six bottom and a small top." Coco's smile beamed. "Thank you, Roar."
He looked toward Lizzy. She had a hard time following all the information. Fifteen dollars an hour and all her tips? She could have her bills caught up and pay extra to the hospital.
"Lizzy? Size?" said Roar.
"Oh, um, twelve." She patted her hip. "And, I wear a size medium top if there are no buttons. If there are buttons, it'll have to be a size large."
Roar's gaze dropped again. Her nipples peaked. There was no getting around the size of her body. It wasn't like she was heavy. She was blessed with a little extra in certain spots, and there was nothing she could do about it.
"Welcome to The Fire Ring." He shook both of their hands again.
"Fire Ring?" Lizzy curled her fingers automatically after touching the warmth of his palm.
He stepped back. "Once the floor is in, there will be a large indoor fire ring in the middle of the room."
"Oh." She smiled. "Thank you for giving us a chance."
