My eyes drop to Elijah’s junk. Fucking hell, he looks like he’s packing.

“And I’m going to change.” He turns on his heel, but Winter rushes over to him.

“You look awesome. Justin is just being Justin,” she reassures.

Is it bad that all I can think about right now is being pushed up against the wall by Deadpool and being fucked? I wouldn’t even care if it was Ryan Reynolds or Elijah. It’s the costume that does it for me.

Huh. Do I have a role-play kink?

“Alright, who’s ready?” I’m using this time to distract Elijah from asking more about Kai.

“Wait!” Winter says. “We have to take photos.”

After ten minutes of photos, we finally head downstairs.

“Don’t you all look awesome,” Mom says, standing there with Benny on her hip.

“Oh my god.” My eyes well with tears. “He’s a little pumpkin.”

I don’t even think about it as I go over to her and take Benny from her arms. He looks up at me with a big smile and lets out that squeal I miss so much. “Hey, little man.” I kiss his cheek. “I’ve missed you so much. Are you feeling better?”

I hated hearing he was sick a few weeks ago. Mom said Logan had been having a rough time for a few days. It took everything in me not to go over and help.

“He’s doing good. Teething a lot,” Mom says.

“I can tell.” I laugh. “Look at all that drool.” He sticks his tongue out and blows. I laugh as he gets some on me. I miss him so damn much it hurts. “Where’s Logan?”

“Practice.”

“Still?” Because practice was over two hours ago, seeing how Justin is here with us.

“He said he’s staying late to run some drills. After the last few losses, he’s been pretty hard on himself.”

“I keep telling him he’s not the reason we lost. The other teams were some of the hardest to beat,” Justin adds.

“We better get going,” Winter says. “The car is waiting outside for us.”

“Be a good boy, okay,” I tell Benny, kissing his forehead before handing him back to Mom.

“You all be safe, okay? If you need anything, just call.”

“We will.” I give Mom a hug and kiss before heading out with everyone to the town car that's going to be taking us to the party.

Justin hops in the front with the driver. Winter slides in, then me, then Elijah. I’m trapped between the two of them. I didn’t think this seating arrangement over well.

Needing to distract myself, I message Kai.

Kai: Where did you go, Sweetheart? Can’t leave me hanging like that.

I smile and send him a photo of me in my costume that Winter took. He texts back a moment later.

Kai: Is it bad that I want to do very dirty, sinful things to you?

“Who’s that?” Elijah asks, and I quickly put my phone away.

“No one.”

“This no one seems to know how to make you smile,” he mutters.
